I was on the fence as well. No doubt they dont drive as well as the OEM AT's. I wouldnt run them all year around because more performance out of AT's, but for winter they're good to go...KO3's will be closer to the RT's than the AT's in any event eg noise, mileage, handling, etc....I like that these are same weight and rpm, offer solid winter / 4x4 and reasonable trail off's that any RT type tire will have.

From 1 week of usage (aka limited), I dont see any reason to not get these again when they wear out.

I’m supposed to be getting mine installed at 1 PM today. You guys are making me have serious second thoughts about these tires. I really want KO3s anyhow. I’m thinking I’m not going to let them install the Wrangler and rather just have them load them up in the bed. If they’re not mounted I won’t even mount them on the wheels I’m just going to try and sell them. Have the BFGs mounted on my new wheels and go from there. If I’m going to have the kind of hit to range you guys are seeing I at least want to be on tires that I really like.
I hope you at least picked them up.. can always unmount the tires and sell them easily and buy whatever you want. This way you still get 4 extra wheels and 4 TPMS sensors.

I purchased the wheel package last night and I’m thinking I may order the Nokians and sell the Duratracs.

Yeah, totally! That’s precisely the plan. However, much to my chagrin when I arrived yesterday for my appointment somehow they still don’t have the wheels and tires saying that they’re constrained. I bought those things with my voucher the first day they were in stock and I don’t understand why now for the second time they don’t have them for me.

Possibly they’re prioritizing places where people literally won’t be able to drive if they don’t have snow tires? I can choose not to drive up into the mountains and where I’m at in the west it’ll never affect me if I don’t do that.

Thank goodness for @Guylouis, and his hack to get your lightbar install expedited, because at least that’s getting installed this go round!

In any case yes absolutely I’m going to take the tires wheels and TPMs whether I use/like the tires or not. That was my thinking from the start - which made it a great use of my voucher + $500 bucks still.

This is Tesla. I was an early order for the spare wheel and tire, took three+ months to come in.
yeah I totally get that. The primary annoyance for me is the fact that they’ve now allowed me to schedule the install twice only to tell me upon arrival that the winter wheels and tires are “constrained.” I know they’re constrained, that’s why I fucking bought them before they sold out which apparently means nothing.

we’re just confusing since generally when you purchase something from the Tesla store you have an order number and you have a product and if it sells out that affects people that bought after you. ?

for example I expect my puddle lights which I purchased while they were in stock to show up next week not to be told oh I’m so sorry those are very popular sir their constrained will let you know. ?

If this was affecting me in a different way (like I really needed winter tires just to get around) or if I really cared - I’d be raising bloody hell right now.

I'm with you all the way, I think it's ridiculous. I also had two service appointments to install my spare wheel and tire cancelled at the last minute because 'parts have not arrived'. I only ended up getting it because I was in for some minor warranty service and happened to ask and they said to stop by the following Monday as parts were due in later this week. Fortunately, no service appointment was needed and it took about an hour to get in and out.

Meanwhile, there is no compatible air compressor/tire inflation system and that's now been delayed to 2025.

But you can usually get your t-shirt order filled in a week or so from the Tesla store, so I guess there's that. Call me a simpleton, but if you don't have an item in stock then don't list it for sale. I'm looking at you Optimus mini bot - I've got an extra set of puddle lights I'll trade for an Optimus mini-bot.

After being burned on my first appointment in early October (last minute cancel because the winter wheels hadn't shown up) I started messaging service to confirm the wheels were there before showing up for my appointment. I live 300 miles north of the service center so I wasn't going to make the trip without confirmation again. My original rebooking was in late October, but the wheels still weren't there a few days beforehand so I moved it out to last week. I finally got them installed, but only after confirming a few days beforehand that they were there. The service centers in MN, at least, are generally responsive to pre-appointment queries via the app.

I'm pretty happy with the tires so far. They were significantly noisier than the stock tires at first, but seem to have quieted down a lot after a couple hundred miles of highway driving. Still a bit noisier, but nothing that bothers me at least. They definitely feel "softer" and have more grip on MN's now frozen roads. We actually had a bit of an ice storm the day before I got them swapped so I had a chance to try the stock tires in icy conditions and they were def a bit more squirrely than I prefer.

on second-thought, i may be eating my own words? I found some photos on FB with winter tire package and Core Wheel Covers.. Assuming the Winter Tire package has Cyber wheels....??

Maybe the Core Wheel Covers do fit Cyber Wheels now... They could of up-rev'd the SKU, as they are now at '-C' with 1250231-00-C.

Sent a PM to the person to confirm whats underneath the covers ;)

Stay tuned...

Did you hear anything back? Thinking about pulling the trigger on these rubbers from the Shop with my PowerShare Credits but not sure if I should just get the wheel package for $3000 or just the rubber for my Core wheels.
