I have deal with serious companies like Apple and Tmovil for example and it is a pleasure to be able to communicate with them. They provide a chat service that helps you with any problem you may have. I think that Tesla should offer that service to us customers. We need it badly and we deserve it. Thank you.

No, in the application they have an appointment service. That’s all. No chat service.

For service, they have this. It's in the app.
The "Ask a Question" option under the service tap is just an "interactive" search aid. To me, it is an inquiry based search tool, not a human-backed chat service.

There's also messages which is a human backed chat service.

If you’re lucky, they respond within 48 hours. Definitely not a chat
I guess it depends on thr SC. Mine respond pretty quickly, even after hours and back and forth...

Unfortunately I ran into some brake error issues and not only asked for service, through the app, but ended up texting back and forth with our local service department as they wanted to check it out, remotely. Once you have that number, you can communicate, directly, with them, and they have been very kind to me. I have bounced back and forth through the app and through text. Not the best way, but there really are humans out there. I DO concur that a chat feature would solve a lot of problems, online, and save the hassle for all involved of coming in to a service center. I DO appreciate the assistance that has been extended to Blitzen and me.

I am simply trying to get comfortable with the fact that all the techs and employees are young enough to be my great grandkids, but I guess that comes with age...even as old as some of us may be, we are waaaayyy cool/groovy with our CTs and the kids love it.

I completely agree with you. They should have a chat service with someone other than the Service Center when you have a scheduled appointment.
The automated system they have now that just points you to help topics is completely useless.

If you have a problem, open a Service Ticket. It goes through AI and then gets routed to humans. Then you can ask questions, and they are pretty good about responding.

Just want to chat with someone, go to Elon's AI company and talk to the AI.

Tesla will route that request to your nearest CS, via your input of a Zip Code, and if you get a reply, from Tesla, it IS that service center. I even now know the Service Manger and his service writer's names so I address them, with courtesy, and they will help. Yes, there are humans behind those types of responses.

This is not a fix as I think the Chat Function would be beneficial, but it is a current workaround.
