My beat is my first EV, and I have a question... I see online charging adapters for sale.... would I need an adapter if I was to drive from florida to long island? I am just wondering if it would be a real hassle charging out on the road..? thanks in advance

Pre plan your trips, stick with Tesla SC if you can. Adapters are for if you cannot.

The status of the charger may be an issue on your adventures, Tesla offers some assurance as you know the status of the charge station ahead of time, usually.

Not sure if the question is about DC or AC adapters. I've never had a Tesla SC issue In 11 years and 203k miles (187k in an S and 16k in the CT). Worse experience was a 30 minute wait right after the solar eclipse in 2017. No need for a DC fast charger adapter - just use the built in trip planner and use the Tesla superchargers.

I do usually carry the Tesla mobile charger that came with the truck (assuming it still does). The 240v 50A, 30A, and 120v 15A adapters for destination charging at campgrounds and houses without wall chargers can be convenient.

Your truck comes with a J1772 adapter which is for level 2 slow charging that you may find at a hotel. That is all you need.
I wouldn't waste $1 on a CCS charger. Stick with Tesla Superchargers. CCS sucks
