The first 4 years of my reservation were enjoyable, from watching the videos of the factory be build to all of the wish lists of what the production CT will include from the many like minded subscribers to this forum, however the euphoria of the actual launch and excitement of hearing and seeing the first production CT’s on this forum these past few months have taken their toll and with the realisation I’m never going to be offered the opportunity to compete my reservation I’ve decided to cancel it as of today.
Unless I take another holiday to the US the closest I’m ever going to get to one was when I stood next to one when it was on tour here in broken Britain last year.
I‘m gutted but wish you all well from this side of the pond.

I truly feel for you, it is a situation out of your control.

4+ years ago it felt like everyone would get a fair shake, there was a bit of euphoria after the unveil.

Hopefully if you have the opportunity to visit the US, a Cybertruck will be waiting for you to drive wherever you want.

Sorry to hear that, it must be a crushing realization that Cybertrucks will not be imported to your home country anytime soon.

You could always move to the US, Canada, or Mexico! Things are looking up here!

@madquadbiker YOLO so move to USA and buy a Cybertruck!

...or at least come over for a long holiday!
It's easier to move to a country that has a Digital Nomad or similar immigration programs AND would allow to register a Cybertruck. So like Costa Rica or Panama.

Thank you for your kind words, now if only I hadn’t sold our villa in Florida I would have had one now, but back in 2006 I couldn’t carry on owning it because of all the hassles of managing it through management companies that were basically ripping me off and not looking after the property which we purchased new in 2004.
I don’t want to go all political but I wish we had a Trump and a DOGE to sort out our broken country where we are losing our rights left right and centre because of a corrupt establishment.

Wishing you the best! So sorry about your current situation…honestly had my CT over a year now and by far best vehicle by a mile that I’ve ever owned!

I now think the world pendulum is swinging back to common sense (or out of necessity to fix broken systems) and there will be a CT and better government policies in your future!

COMMON SENSE WILL WIN OUT…THE PEOPLE WILL FINALLY HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND FIX CORRUPTION AND STUPIDITY!?

All the best!

Man I feel you. I recently ordered AWD FS on my birthday on 3/10 after renting one for a weekend. I instantly knew it was for me. I even prepaid to have a local shop order special PPF wrapping. I was soo excited.

However, a few days later, after scheduling delivery, the date vanished from my app, and I received a cryptic message that they needed to look at something. I then later received the Hold Containment message. I tried calling, messaging for more info to no avail. I took to the internet and found this site.

I also began researching and read about other recalls, e.g., pedal falling off, wiper motor, etc. Finally i went back to dealership to cancel. Later I hear about the Musk backlash on CT and dealership burnings etc. the advisor tried talking me out of cancelling even though they did not have an ETA on when I can pickup truck.

As a final effort I reached out to the guy I rented from; he had the same AWD Foundation to get his opinion. He still swears by it for owning over a year yet stated perhaps wait for a later edition and assured me the delay was temp and should be getting a delivery date within the next week.

I held breath and stuck with it. i decided to hold off on cancellation. However from all of my internet searching additional news started popping up in my feed about owners' experiences depreciations, eslcation Musk backlash etc.. That same day I get a message that I can now schedule. I scheduled and yet my gut told me it was not worth the hassle. Yesterday I decided to finally cancel.

Maybe nextyear I will reconsider but for now I'm sticking with my Range SVR.

Checking the internet for CT recall news is a fool’s errand as there are so many haters they will keep software “recalls” in the news for years. But if you want to help rationalize not buying one then it’s the best place to start!

Ok I’ve received the £100 refund so signing off now and deleting my account so I’m not continually being reminded I can’t have one.
Hoping you all eventually get this masterpiece of engineering.

If the CT is OK'd ( I really do hope soon) for UK/EU. Please do come back.

Thank you, Europe would be ok because I’m serious thinking of buying a property in Portugal so LH drive could work if there’s no RH drive options available , mind you at the moment we are only allowed to spend a maximum of 90 days at a time in the EU so two lots of 6 months or other combinations for per year, however if I spend 90 days there we can’t return until we’ve spent 90 days back in broken Britain. Would probably save a fortune by buying one over there as our title of ripoff Britain isn’t just a title, it’s true.
Just as a for instance, Starlink here is £75 per month whereas in Portugal it’s €40 so about £35, this is for the Home system.

Do you foresee a future where FSD in cars will make it not matter if a country is LHD vs. RHD? Seems to me the robot car could certainly do away with the problems that humans have with driving in countries that are close to each other yet switch driving sides. I think that's an exciting thought for EU UK and tourists who want to visit.

I have 2 separate StarLink's at $120 each (~95 UK), one is remote, but it still doesn't qualify for the cheaper "underserved" area price of Starlink. Portugal is a immense bargain.
