Walt Whitman Bridge has a different fee schedule. $6 total for under 7k pounds, $9 per axle above 7k:

Edit: it's under thr Delaware River Port Authority , not DRJTBC
On the URL above, it refers to "gross vehicle weight", not GVWR, so the toll is based on the current weight of the vehicle. Without a scale, I've no idea how they would know. My Honda Accord could be lined with tungsten bricks lol.

So I had to head into Pa yesterday, and when I came up to the toll booth, I readied my money and handed it to the guy (Toll is $6, I gave him $11 for easy change) He tells me I'm a little short and says it should be $18, I gave him a blank stare and said what??? He then whips out a paper that states Cybertrucks are 9,125 lbs, so I have to pay the $18. I laughed hard and informed him that my truck was under 6700 pounds. I took out my registration and showed the gvw of 6669lbs. He gets on the phone, makes a call and takes my $6. I told him he should take down the paper after being proven wrong and he tells me he has to go by the paper first, unless shown the registration, so look out guys, they are trying hard to scam you!
There are still toll booths??

And that number (at least if you get an ezpass) is based on the weight on the registration which for non-commercial vehicles in NJ seems to be the shipped/curb weight. Commercial vehicles need to declare actual max weight.

I had the same experience on the same bridge in PA. Handed him $6 and he told me $18. I laughed and asked why. He said the truck weighed too much. I was on a temp tag so didn’t have a registration weight to show him but showed him the weight of the vehicle in the owners manual on the screen and google. He made a call and let me by at $6.

Sounds like a local personal scam, not a governmental one. Because who is gonna waste their time complaining to the government about the government?
