Yeh I 100% expect a recall on this part. Looking at it and how mine failed this is clearly an engineering mistake.

I ordered a replacement about a month ago, current eta is end of may for the replacement to come in. The lead time on all parts has gotten crazy.

im also still waiting on a new rear passenger seat belt receiver.

Having the same issue. Did you order the replacement part yourself or did Tesla service order it after you made them aware of the issue?

Thanks!

You guys think a bead of silicone caulk (or butyl rubber or similar) around the button panel would help until the recall happens? Is there an obvious seam where water is getting in (that isn't a moving part)?

Maybe some butyl rubber tape around the edges?

Seriously, that's what I'm thinking!

I live in rain country and I don't want to risk it. Some black butyl tape around the panel would be fine by me.

You're the 4th or 5th person to report this (one guy a few weeks ago thought his wife was playing a prank on him). Best guess is water is getting under the rubber and causing issues. Guessing it's gonna need a redesign.
Mine just broke yesterday after a heavy rain

You can try to use hair dryer low heat setting to blow the switch area. It wasa trick old days for iPhone got wet.
I always thought the way to fix iPhones was to put them in a bag of rice.
On that note, you may as well get carload of rice and put your cybertruck in it overnight?

I had the same issue a couple days ago after picking up my CT. I noticed after a car-wash, the buttons quit responding and it showed a "fault" in service mode like this from above. After a few hours in the hot sun, I tried the buttons again and they worked fine so I am assuming the drying from the sun cured the fault. I'll open a service ticket for intermittent failure of buttons

My buttons are still working, but here's what I had going on after a decent (not heavy) rain. The swelling went down and it's currently back to normal, but I can't see this being good/sustainable in the long run.

There's also a picture of the water that made it through at the top of the tonneau cover. More than preferable for a 15 minute rainfall.
