I hope both drivers walked away w/o injuries. And if so, then I would like to give equal kudos to the Nissan for keeping its driver safe given the damage. While we are all commending the crashworthiness of the CT, it looks like the Nissan did not do bad either in saving the driver

but ... interest basically invalidates that argument. Yea gap pays the difference but that also means you are paying interest which isn't something you have with cash buyer. And the case where you never get into a total loss situation, then the gap + financing choice is WAY worse.
