Trouble with parking lots

I have been experiencing trouble in parking lots and FSD. Parking in faraway slots, taking long route in and out of the lot. I have to take over most of the time. Suggestions?

Parking is definitely a late stage refinement. one thing that should help is to drop a pin exactly in the parking spot you want to be near, and most of the time FSD will try to make it there.

I have done that but sometimes it's Hit or Miss. Kind of like driving around the block to get to the front door.

Yea I put in TJ Max which was across the street, it wanted to go park at the back door down the alleyway. lol this is why I have zero streak.

Depends on how the parking lot is mapped. One way can be assigned. So it may have to take the long way to stay with the traffic flow. FSD obeys the law. It will not cut through parking spots like we all do.

I found a parking lot on the map the other day that had one single aisle that was not connected at the end. No major construction or changes since it was made probably 10+ years ago.

If i park on that aisle it will route completely out of the way to an exit on the other side of the parking lot.

I don't know how they are going to work around issues like this because it seems like it is heavily leaning on maps.

I've also tested it and manually drove the CT through the break... as soon as it crosses... routing updates and routes correctly.

When using FSD in a parking lot, try using the directional to tell the CT which direction you want to go.

Sometimes. I still frequently have to do some last inch driving myself. Mine also seems to willfully ignore the pull-in-forward spots which are chipshots as far as charge port positioning.
