Below is the list of parts I used, I did have some of this stuff laying around, and there are probably some cheaper alternatives, especially for the 2080 extrusions, but I thought they gave it a nice look, and they line up and bolted well to the "shelf hangers" I used for the drop down.

With the below really not much modification needed. Really just two or three things:

1. You have to cut the 2080 to length which is a bit tricky as the bed is not square and the side has some flex to it, so to get a tight fit you have to cut just a bit long.

2. You have the bend the shelf hangers, I just placed the short end in a vice and bent the arm, eyeballing it.

3. Optional cut the u bolts to get maximum clearance under the tent.

I think the build is fairly straight forward, t track bolts go in the t tract, rails supports (shelf supports) attach to the t tract bolts. The 2080 then bolts to the shelf supports (holes line up). Place the tent on top, and use the u bolts secure. Just have to get skinny to get underneath to bolt it on. Probably take 2-3 hours. I am sure everyone on here will have even better ideas/improvements. I am interested to see what everyone does with it.

Do you have the correct link for the "rail supports"? Looks like it was double posted by mistake for the bolt kit. Thanks

Amazing job by the way. Trying to load up my Amazon cart now.

yes thanks for the catch, I updated the links, also update the ubolts… the narrow bolts are definitely longer then needed so could shorten them or cut off

Thanks for posting the updated links. On the rail supports, if you went 6 inches instead of 8, do you see any snags or issues? Thinking of maximizing utility underneath for storage.

Also, did you look at any other tent options? Been browsing the internet for a few alternatives, although the one you posted is the best I can find so far. Especially for the price.

I’m curious how many of you that have engineered amazing solutions like this have actually spent some time with the cybertent.
I thought it was super clunky when I saw it the first time but I use a power inflation pump and it is SO easy. Even when it’s raining it’s easy.
I don’t know, I love your tent man, I just want to say to everyone, don’t hate that cybertent too much until you’ve spent some time with it. It’s pretty great.

You might be able to get away with 6 inches but it would really be close to the cover, if I can tomorrow I’ll take a picture of the clearance. I did look at several tents, but this is the only one I pulled the trigger on. Seemed like the best fit.

Question. As someone who has now designed a CT bed tent, do you understand why heimplanet chose to design the cybertent in such a way that requires aeroflap removal?
I don’t.

I wasn't sure if you have video recorded the whole installation process. If you did, would you mind posting it?

Don’t think the 6inch drop would work maybe an inch clearance on the cover

, also forgot you do have to drill out the holes on the shelf supports a bit to fit on the t tract bolts

Sorry no video, there was a fair amount of trial and error to get everything lined up and working

Thanks for all the info and support on this install. I've been looking for an option similar to this for well over a year now. Love everything about it. Any chance you can throw some more photos up at some point? Interior shots, light on/off, and lastly a shot of the clearance under the unit? Just trying to gauge how much space is available for storage underneath.
