EDIT: it fixed itself after being plugged in overnight

God wanted to punish me tonight, so he completely disabled all safety features and fsd on my truck. Anyone know what the issue is/how to fix it? I parked and came back to all these errors, I didn’t hit anything nor mod anything. Ignore the radiopingfailerror, that’s my fault

Never had that happen. Never even HEARD of that happening without an obvious reason (think Whistlin' Diesel). Did it go away after a reboot?

I did the steering wheel restart yesterday and that didn’t fix anything. Left it plugged in to charge overnight and everything fixed itself. Haven’t taken it out to drive yet but it’s not giving those errors anymore, autoshift works, and it goes into drive without throwing any new problems at me. The best thing about computers is that everything randomly fixes itself, the worst thing about computers is that everything randomly fixes itself.

My best guess for this is that one of the etherloop endpoints (or wtv they’re called) lost connection for a second which led to those specific faults. This is great though as it shows how the truck can still perfectly operate with communication faults, a big thing that snark subs like cyberstuck shat on the truck for.

Get it to the service center.
Nobody here is going to be able to fix that.

All the espMIA failures are from the Hydraulic Brake Unit/ ESP not responding. So likely either it died, or its power feed did.

Happened again smh, my theory is that the drive unit or whatever piece it tries to communicate with doesn’t wake up in time which makes it look like it’s offline to the system when it does an initial ping. This time I was able to fix it by hopping out of the truck and hopping back in, which I guess pings the failed parts again? It still said traction control and other stuff was failing until I put it into drive, where it acted normal again.

Ok, I don’t believe this is real anymore. An actual owner would have had the truck in the shop.

You are a troll.

I post to help people desperately scouring google for edge case answers like these. As much as I love this truck, it’s a foundation series and bound to have issues that a first gen car would have. Not all slightly negative posts are trolls. I also delayed my service cause I have a teeny tiny feeling I might’ve damaged something with the many tiny mods i’ve done. Also i really hate tesla service in general when it comes to stuff that requires diagnosing.

Watching- make service appt. Curious the reason. Are you worried they will say you voided your warranty with “mods” you made? Confused because in your first post, you said you didnt mod anything?

For the modding, I realized that I disassembled a diagnostic port on the truck while trying to pen test it. I also haven’t updated my gateway config to support my replacement radio (as you can see in the og screenshot under the radiopingfailure warning). Someone in an older thread of mine mentioned that doing that could fuck up the etherloop… YOLO. As for service, my center is very slow in my many experiences with them and I don’t want them to permanently mark that I’ve fucked around with my truck. I can undo all the mods, but i’d much rather not go through the whole process of uninstalling and reinstalling unless I really need to. I can deal with needing to hop in and out of my truck once every month.

You can try getting a sub to service mode + which is what the SC’s use for real time i/os and diagnostics. You gotta have a real good understanding of what you're looking at though or you will really mess up your vehicle

Interested to know what the fault is actually caused by. Sounds like it could be due to an owner modification. Let us know!
