TSB for replacing Tri Motor Rear Motors Inverters due to quality issues - this causing the delay on Beasts? From Feb 13

Replace Rear Steering with Updated Steering Actuator to allow tighter turning radius - so looks like SW and HW fix to get to > 3*. From Feb 29 so guessing very recent new builds will have it

https://service.tesla.com/en-US/documents?modelCode=CT

Probably good to keep an eye on here to see what noted issues there are and what new parts / design fixes

Good catch, thanks for sharing.

All of us early adopters need to be cognizant that early builds may have some design/hardware issues that in time will be corrected. But that our vehicles may be disadvantaged if the issues are hardware related that can't simply be replaced (such as the 4680 battery chemistry). Fortunately with Tesla the vast majority can be fixed with software updates.

Interesting. It seems like this affected cyber trucks that were built in 2023 if I’m reading it correctly. Which makes sense why production has been on hold until now for the beast.

I am concerned that Perelli‘s are now being used. My last sets on my Highlander and MS had manufactured defects (scorpions) with bubbles. They had to be replaced. I switched to Cross climate 2 on my MS, and have been satisfied. I won’t be going back to Perelli‘s if I can.

I'm not understanding, why does anyone think any of the trucks are awaiting tires that aren't currently an option? The FS trucks come with goodyear tires only. Beast and AWD. Trucks have also not been held back for aero covers. they don't even attach them before shipping, they send them ahead to the service center (back when they were still delivering them with covers at all).

Yea they have had some issues, but with other problems they are likely going with what they can get and trying to avoid further bottlenecks

did you have low profile tires? I’ve been running pirellis on track, off road, on road and winter driving on my AMG GLE63S. Never an issue other than tread wear due to the weight of the vehicle. I even have Pirelli All Terrain Plus on my F150 and do some heavy off-roading with it and never an issue.

My father has low profile 19” wheels and any bad pothole with those tires will cause a bubble. Pain in the rear.

It very well could be an issues overall with Pirelli. Hopefully they don't have that issue anymore on their newer tires. Tires are made in so many different countries as well across the same manufacturer. I just always make sure, any high end tires come fresh and not been in the warehouse for more than a year. The tire guys hate me, but I make them show me the tires so I can glance at the dates before putting something on. I just don't really care what people think anymore. If they are upset, I can just go elsewhere. No need to upset myself.
