Hi guys Im new here. I have a 2024 Foundation beast with light bar and terrestrial package. I love the vehicle but the only thing that bothers me is noise especially 50mph +. It sounds like its coming from the windshield or maybe the roof where the light bar is. I have also seen posts where the all-terrain tires don't help either. ANC doesn't really help.
My question is should I upgrade to a 2026 Beast, or should I shell out 8-10k and get someone to professionally sound dampen the vehicle and hope it helps? There is a guy in New Hampshire who does tear downs and resembles everything with soundproofing. I would ship the car from Michigan to him for the work.

Thanks!

Just Traded in My ‘24 FS AWD for a ‘26
Truck is much quieter.
Especially: No more motor wining…
A few rattles that I am sure the SC will resolve on tomorrow’s appointment (steering column & dashboard on passenger side)
FSD transfer (no longer available) was critical to my decision.

Was able to get a no brainer deal.
Last chance to transfer FSD
Better Truck
Better Warranty by far
‘26 Teslas have High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty: For 7 years or 70,000 miles (including the PCS) https://service.tesla.com/docs/Public/prp/propulsion-related-parts.html

+$79,990 ‘26 AWD CT
+$3,500 cyber Wheels
+$2,000 White Interior
-$70,900 Trade-in ~21,000 miles
-$1,000 Referral Loyalty Credit
=======
+$13,590

Added Factory Terrestrial Armor
$3,000 + Tax

With tax license…
Total 20,825 out of pocket.
Subtract 8,000 + tax FSD
& over $3,000 in accessories that came with The foundation CT ($2,500 from store credit)
That I moved to the new CT
So basically cost me less than 6,000 excluding the Terrestrial Armor as I said No brainer

well I lost the chance to transfer FSD :( . Maybe I will hold onto my 2024 for another 1-2 years then trade in.

But your talking about AWD, Im considering going from 24 beast to 26 beast.

got rid of two 2024 beasts (39k fountdation and 49k vins) - got two 2026 units (90k luxe and 94k regular vins) - Never looked back. Picked up some tesla lightbars on ebay and put my aftermarket wheels on the new trucks. could not be happier. totally different experience in the '26 beasts

I purchased an AWD in late December 2024 VIN 5567X. FSD with. 23,400 miles so far and going strong.

Other than the PCS being on the list (no issues yet) and I notice the motor "whine" noise (not an issue with sound system on) less than 30 mph I have no road noise, rattle, etc that I would complain about (or even hear). I'm still on the initial set of (core) tires and I suspect I'll get another 10K-15K out of them.

With all the complaints about 2024 (trade up to 2026) wondering why I seem to be mostly "in the good". I literally haven't been to any service location (I rotate tires myself and do basic items myself and had my mechanic inspect).... I'll take it in for a cantrail eval this spring but even that I don't think I'll have done unless they think I'm in really bad shape.

Passing this along for thoughts and for information to the wider community. I like the experience from the wider population it helps me out. Other than the PCS items already discussed here this vehicle has been a completely seamless positive very much like my 2018 Model 3 which I got 60,000 mi out of before trading in on this vehicle. FSD has been used more than 50% since the 14.3 update.

Passing along for info- keep rocking cybercrew!

At this point the same in terms of trading in
Last time I checked the luxe package was no longer included for a beast
So you would be moving to a subscription for FSD. FSD purchased after 2/14/26 no longer stays with the vehicle when sold or transferred.
Assuming trade-in values are on par…
Net cost to upgrade a 26 would be comparable

My 24’ foundation series on the original tires- driving on trip to TN from California / so far as I type this we have logged 4,204 miles. Not one intervention over this 4,000 miles. Not one, easy in and out of chargers- most stops 10-20 minutes to get charged enough to the next charger along hwy 40.

My cyberbeast is crazy quiet- no tire noise and no wind noise to speak of/ overall a pleasure on the road.

A little high tech whine at low speed which I like actually,

My foundation has the upscale feeling alcantera dash, headliner and sunvisors and also the off road lightbar, lifetime FSD and lifetime connectivity - I intend to live a long long time- if they move to newer chips to be able to run FSD or connectivity Tesla will have yo upgrade the hardware. They stopped selling FSD so they won’t have to upgrade cars with purchased FSD since they are only obligated to provide FSD for no more than a month. Tesla will offer maybe a hardware upgrade for $1,000 or something.

My 24’ cyberbeast has been reliable and Tesla has been proactive on handling any small recall issues quickly and for free. Did something with bolts on the drive system, added rubber moldings to the rolling bed cover for more waterproofing, replaced my lightbar - even though no issues , for the newer design that has mounting plates and screws, replaced the arm on my wiper,

My 24’ cyberbeast could not be any quieter on the road - I am still on a 5,000 mile trip from California to Knoxville TN and I have been extolling to everyone I can how fantastic this vehicle is out on hwy 40 for 750 miles a day. No tire noise - zip- very little wind noise - and definitely no noise from inside the doors. I can hear a small hum - very kind of high tech sound that essentially is built in to keep pedestrians from walking in front of the truck. I like that sound- spools up sort at lower speed and I don’t hear it on the hwy. Again 4,400 miles over the last week / 750 miles a day - through night, rain, morning fog and not one driver intervention has been required. Charging is easy - truck knows how much charge needed to the next charger to leave a 10% residual power reserve so the stops are minimal.

I think adding a strip of rubber molding to the inside of the doors along the back leading edge to create a better seal against wind or rain is a positive, cheap fast idea - but not sure about insulating the doors themselves- half the time when door panels are yanked off clips are broken and the plastic weather proofing is damaged -

I have a lot of fancy cars from Mercedes- porsche, Ferrari and this cyberbeast is the best overall as an actual driving vehicle. Just my experience /
