, V14.1.7 FSD - driveway parking

installed new V14.1.7 yesterday, excited to give try, took a short trip to local store. When returned, CT pulled into The middle of my two car driveway. I thought, not perfect but I would accept as a big improvement over stopping in street. I turned truck around, backed into driveway spot, called it a ”win”. When I returned today from a short trip, CT stopped in street and proceeded to back into driveway, ending up perfectly on one side of driveway! How/Why FSD decided to back into verses pull in forward I have no idea but I will call that “OUTSTANDING”

Mine hasn’t backed in yet . Neighbors prolly thinking something is wrong with me cause after it’s done I back right back out and turn it around so my charger cable can reach it.

I had similar experience: I want it to back in (which I'm 2 of 4 now) and it does it perfectly and parks on the same side of our driveway...only that it always parks in front of my wife's garage door instead of mine (would eventually like to see it back into my garage).

Today was the first day any FSD found my HOME spot and pulled in the driveway, before it would just wander the neighborhood slowly like a lost balloon. Huge update for me to find my driveway.

Yesterday it tried to back in then stopped in the middle of the street (I chose Charger as the end location). Today it parked on the street blocking my driveway (I chose Driveway as the end location). Batting 0.00 so far.

It's a wash for me.

I have an L shaped driveway that leads into a carport. V13 would actually turn into the driveway and turn right into the carport before stopping.

Now with v14, the one time I've let it try, it backed in a bit crooked and ignored the carport aka treated it as a normal straight driveway. Will have to test more. I'm so used to taking over to back into the carport that i've been taking over ahead of time.

parking seems to be hit and miss, one day like today it pulls to opposite side of the road, stops, then turns and parks in driveway, other days it starts to park in neighbors driveway staight away without pulling to the other side or turns into the parking lot across the street.

P.S. today it also pulled aside for an oncoming ambulance with only a little hesitation because of passing through an intersection at the time.

I wish it would just find my drive way and not the next road that is next to my property. I have to disengage it turn on to my drive and then re-engage FSD to go up my drive way to my house. I have a private drive way that is about 1/4 long and it just doesnt seem to find it.
