Is it OK now to give the key to them for valet?

Back in early April when I first got my CT I took a trip to Vegas and didn't use valet in any casino, not sure they know how to drive or take a joy drive back then. But now CTs are showing up alot everywhere, can I trust them to drive my CT?

If you do, look up Valet Mode in the manual.

In Vegas, there are a LOT more desirable cars than the Cybertruck!

I’ve lived in Vegas since 1984. I’ve owned two Corvettes (‘14 & ‘21), I have a ‘23 plaid, I had a M3P before the plaid and all kinds of luxury cars before that. I am confident that I have valeted more expensive cars in this town than just about anyone that you can ask. I have NEVER had a problem.

I’m aware of Jay Leno’s rule he lives in California and it’s probably a good idea given the varied quality of establishments that offer valet services. We’re talking about the world famous Las Vegas strip you’re gonna be fine and if you’re not, they have insurance for that.

The only reason my Cyberbeast hasn’t been valid yet is that I haven’t been down to the strip with it yet.

You have a camcorder on four wheels that allows you to easily limit the speed anyone can drive. What are you afraid of? Even both of my Corvettes allow me to put them in valet mode and cap the speed. I don’t do that but you can.

At the end of the day, someone above gave you the correct answer - nobody can tell you whether you should valet your car in Vegas or not. (Or anywhere else for that matter). It’s about your level of comfort.

A simple solution (and insider tip) is if you want to limit your fears of somebody joy-riding around in your car you tip them upfront and ask them to park it up front and your car will be on display when you walk out and they’ll simply hand you the keys. They’ll drive grand total of 20 or so ft.

No, do not use Valet in most circumstances. The only time we ever use valet is when we can park our car up front at the entrance of the hotel. Most valets allow this when your car is nice enough, also give them a tip to for allowing you to do this. It pays to have a loud exhaust as well, you know when some valet turns your car on in the middle of the night to move/joy ride it.
After my friends experience I stopped using valet altogether though. He valeted his R8 on a rally where there were other nice cars doing a drive together. A few hours later while everyone was at the hotel bar having a good time they heard a loud v10 start up. He has an aftermarket exhaust so it was kind of a unique sound that everyone instantly thought, "is that your car?". Sure enough, by the time they got from the bar to the entrance his car was driving off on a joy ride. He got the car back safe, valet was fired, no harm was done to the teenage drivers but lessons were learned. Never going to valet again.

If you are only going to be there for a couple of hours for a show or dinner tell the valet that you only have your phone key and hit them w/ $20 & ask if you can just park it up front. I've seen several at Aria. Otherwise self park.

I'll stay at Caesar Palace and don't think they have up front parking. I've seen it in Paris, Planet Hollywood, Wynn, Palazzo ... and might try that way.
