So I've been getting serious vampire drain since an update happened a couple months ago. It might have been the update when we got "Parking Assist" (or maybe the update before/after, I can't quite remember). I always charge my truck at home during off-peak hours (after 11PM) and only charge to 50%. I drive exactly 4 miles to work and 4 miles back every weekday. It used to be at 50% charge when I got in it in the morning and it wouldn't hit 49% until I got a mile or two down the road. Then, after said update, all of the sudden it says 47% when I get in in the morning all else being the same. By the time I get home it's down to 39-38% sometimes. That's 10-12% charge for driving 8 miles. This is absolutely unacceptable loss. I loose more power sitting in my heated garage (sentry off) than I do driving it for the day. I keep thinking that they'll fix it in the next update but this still persists. It was GREAT before the update that made this happen. Even with Sentry running battery loss was minimal. Now it's like a running microwave oven is attached 24-7.

Took delivery in May. The first couple months the vampire drain was silly but we all knew they would work on it. I’d say around August it got better with an update. I have noticed that after installing 2034.39.5 it is bad again. I do the same, only charge to 50% (most of the time using “Charge on Solar”) so it is topped off by late afternoon. After this last update I’ve seen it down to 46% or so by morning. I’m sure they will fix it again. You are not alone.

Couple things… first stupid phone is constantly connected when i am home and the car is parked in the garage so it drains the battery. My solution i shut down the app on the phone so it can’t run in the background and so far works. The other even though my garage is heated sometimes the car thinks it is too cold and heats the battery and it shows a blue snow icon on the app this is another reason… but it general yes cybertruck vampire drain is wayyy worse than my modely.

Even though your garage is heated, you wil save a lot of battery drain on your short 4 mile commute if you pre-heat the cabin three minutes before you depart. It takes about a minute for the heat pump to start producing heat, and another two minutes or so for it to all start working most efficiently. This is a very high energy draw while it's transitioning from just sitting to working. If you pre-condition while your plugged in, it won't put a huge load on your battery when you drive out into the winter weather and it's more efficient to draw the current directly from the grid than to go through the round-trip of charging/discharging the battery.

Always unplug the last thing before you get in and drive away, not the first thing you do to get ready to leave. Even if you don't pre-condition, the vehicle will start doing it for you as soon as you open a door, as long as you are still plugged in.

I don't use heat on the way to work. The cabin stays warm enough from being in the heated garage. Also, I've already lost 2-3% before I even unplug the truck. This has not always been this way. I've always used Sentry ever since I got the truck (but have it disabled at home and work) and Sentry uses a trivial amount of energy compared to the vampire loss. Also what I've noticed is that the "Energy Statistics" screen lies. It'll say that I've used .7% to the mobile app (everything else says 0.0%) but then the main % indicator says I've lost 3% just sitting in a fully heated garage untouched.
