Questions from others who have had their CT delivered:
1. I selected to pay cash in full. They now want final payment in full. I assumed that I would be paying for the car after I actually see it and take delivery. If I wait to make final payment will it delay my delivery?
2. For proof of insurance, do they want me to actually start a new policy before delivery? Or, do they just want to see that I have insurance on my other cars?
3. Originally, I selected that I would not have a trade-in; but, I would like to see what kind of offer they would make on my 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro with only 12,000 miles. It would be nice to get a discount on the sales tax I'm paying on the CT. Will it delay things if I request a quote from them and then decline if it is not high enough?
3. I received via email that I was eligible for the Powershare Home Backup hardware installation. This is my first Tesla so I'm not setup for charging at home. Does the Powershare hardware include a way to charge the truck? Or, is that a completely separate purchase?

On #2, all they want to see is that you have an active insurance covering your current vehicles.

On the last question, wall connector is included in Powershare.

I got in touch with a seemingly knowledgeable sales rep to answer my own questions (let me know if others have heard conflicting information) ....
1. No need to pay in full right now. In Arizona, you have options that might not apply in other states. In Arizona, you can either pay in full once vin is assigned, wait to pay through the app prior to the delivery, or pay with cashier's check upon delivery. Payment method does not change delivery date.
2. Use the VIN to shop insurance companies for a VIN specific quote. Prior to delivery, upload proof of insurance set to start on delivery date showing your CT VIN.
3. Trade-in does not impact delivery date. If trade-in offer shows as pending, the official offer should show prior to delivery date and you can obviously accept or reject the offer.
4. Powershare hardware includes the mobile NEMA charger (one that you can plug into 240V outlet).

The advantage in trading it in, is that the tax I pay on the cybertruck gets reduced. So, I need to do the math to see which option is better.

No delivery date yet. The person I talked to on the phone said to expect a call in about 2 weeks to schedule the delivery date.

I have been stopping by (some might call it stalking) the Hampton SC daily and it looks like they are only delivering one per day. Most of the deliveries are being represented here on this forum too which is a departure from the thought that @cgladue 's numbers were only 30% of actual. Maybe AZ is better represented on here than we thought.

Got a text from tesla as I was heading out the door to pickup the truck, here is the thread - no pickup today for me!

Good morning Mark,

The service team has informed us we need a part for the roof of your Cybertruck. At this time we need to move your appointment, we will find out as soon as possible when you can take delivery.

You are just figuring this out 40 minutes before my pickup? Can I do the pickup and schedule the fix for later?


Jacob:
This is a new containment hold that was just released unfortunately we do apologize. The system will not allow you to accept delivery if there is a hold on the vehicle for service. We can reschedule you for Monday if it is done earlier we will let you know!

Can you say what exactly the containment hold is for so that I can inform others in our ct forum. Is there a link that owners can go to in order to check for this and other delivery stopping issues?
