FYI - my friend just got notification that his delivery is being delayed for the second time. This delay is to replace a power control unit. It is now scheduled for next Thursday (although they were kind enough to withdraw payment from his bank knowing full well it was not going to be delivered today).

boy AZ is really on the fast track once it's clear of the factory. 3/25 build date shows up by 3/29. Meanwhile 3/15 VIN 36xx in OH has still not left texas, despite being "in transit" (clear of the factory) since that day. Perpetually 10 days away. On 3/15 it was 3/27 ETA to the showroom. On 3/24 it was 4/2 ETA. On 3/29 it was 4/8 ETA. I'm gonna give @Celiboy a run for his money.

It takes 2 days by rail from TX to Chicago, then gets picked up on a truck from there. Even if there was 7 days of traffic on the tracks (which I'm told by an expert in transportation logistics is the worst case), it still shouldn't take this long to start moving out of texas.

I wonder what other states are on this fast track being driven by trucks instead of (not) moving by train

I just got my VIN today for CA, 55xx so they must be churning them out faster these days?

The vins are out of order, I got a late 36xx while you got an early 55xx. Probably something like 90 per day are shipping still. People keep swearing production is so much faster than it was a week or two ago, but vin assignments don't support that.

Wow! I agree it shouldn’t take that long. I’m not sure why they were holding it, but my truck has been great so far. No build quality issues and no error messages. I made a joke in a previous thread that it was taking longer cause Elon was personally making sure it was perfect before it left Texas. It’s definitely lived up to that thus far. I like to think they were waiting to address some known issues others were experiencing before letting it go. I can honestly say now it was worth the wait. The waiting is the worst part but once you get your truck, you’ll be enjoying it so much you’ll forget how crappy the before was lol.

I’m looking forward to you posting after getting it. The good, the bad, reactions from family and friends. Just everything. I look forward to driving it everyday. Not necessarily the attention I get, but just enjoying the truck.

I guess we'll see, lol. I have a long memory. Not long enough to be like "oh I can't enjoy this truck because it took so long to get here". But enough that it won't be a case of completely not remembering how annoying the wait was, lol.

Still kind of feels like the day will never come. maybe it will feel different when I finally ask them for the ETA and they don't tell me 10 days. I already know the things I won't like, so I'm looking forward to finding the things that I do. I still haven't seen one in person either. I avoided the car show, and the showroom while there was a truck there. There's only 2-4 in my area right now, so I'm hoping that mine will be the first one I see.

Hopefully it’ll change. I was pretty butthurt after waiting hence no post when I picked it up. Took a while but it went away. I would recommend not seeing one in person until you see yours. My service center is 2 minutes from my house so when they told me it arrived, I went to go check it out. It was covered in the dirt and grime you’d expect to collect over a 1600 mile journey. I regret seeing it that way and wished I’d just waited. They did a great job getting it ready but took some of the surprise of seeing MY truck away.

Hey Guys, I posted on one of the other threads, but here's an update:

Just to give everyone an update:

I got the VIN on 03/27/2024
On 03/29/2024 I received a call to schedule delivery. I was asked for either Sat (3/30) or Sun (3/31). Of course I went with Sat. I got pretty excited.

I brought up that I haven't completed the final payment, which he said after scheduling the delivery, the Tesla App will allow me to make payment.

On the app, it allowed me to login and connect to my bank to make the payment (chase). There is more to this story, but just make sure your account has enough money that day, since adding more money, although in your account, will say pending to outside banks (tesla). Which led me to add cash, since that is instant (account to account wont work, although my bank see is and shows it for spending)

but yeah, got the payment to go through.

I met up on Saturday at 1:30 and voila, it was finally here!!!!!!!!!

Just to let you guys know, this is my first cybertruck seeing up close and being in. It really is something. Whenever I still see it, I'm blown away by it. Its something truly amazing.

I wish the best to the rest of you guys, and will still be here, hopefully meet up with some of you in the future.

Stopped by the Mesa service center today and saw 1 CyberTruck. The entire interior dash was disassembled. Couldn’t find a VIN on it. I was curious if anyone here knows what’s up with that one? I’m assuming it had some kind of fault and they are waiting for a part. I’m still waiting on my VIN. Just over 30 days in so I have awhile to go.

FYI the VIN # is in upper right corner of dash behind the wiper. The rest of the trucks are hiding out back. The white wrapped ones are being stored inside

I’m over 100 days now…me first! lol
