Waiting six months to get a refund and nothing yet.

When I bought my CT I decided to give my Camry as part of the payment. Tesla got 100% of the Value of the CT from my bank and accepted my car for a Value of $12,000. When I got the CT, the Salesman told me that I would get the refund check in one or two months. After six months waiting I called Tesla and Ask for my money, lets see how many more months they let me wait till they finally refund me. I still do not understand why they did not refund me at closing.

WTH? But why would you accept this in the first place? A trade doesn't work this way. I traded in for the CT as well and the final owed reflected the trade in value. No need to get a refund.

If I were you, I'd be visiting the local center everyday or call/messaging them. Everday, 6 months is not right.

Do you have documentation showing they owe you the $12k? If so then i would give them one last opportunity to pay you then its time for attorneys to start sending letters, with their fees +interest added to the amount they owe you.

Tesla shop doesn’t bother to give refunds when you send something back so I’m not surprised. And they don’t bother to have real customer service. Still love my truck but don’t expect much customer service wise.

For some reason Tesla removed my FSD that I paid in full at pickup of new truck. 1 month later when FSD shut off I called to find out what happened. I was told it was canceled at pickup and they can't put it back on because the wire refund is already in the works. This was 2 months ago and still no refund plus I had to pay 8000 instead of the 7000 price at purchase to get FSD back.

You spoke to a real person at Tesla? I gave up trying to speak with a real person about an issue I have. The phone tree is maddening on the number I called. Can you share the number you called?

I called the place where I picked up my truck. Only way to talk to a human, say you are looking to buy a new car.

They didn't refund you the difference because Tesla doesn't want to get burned by a bounced check (happens all the time, even certified checks from a bank). They at least wait to distribute funds when your payment clears.

Also, they do it on a scheduled basis so that they have better control over the movement of millions of dollars. If I were you, I would go speak to the service manager near you and ask them to personally reach out to the finance department on your behalf and ask them to contact you as soon as possible. Give him a business card with your info to make it easy.

Keep in mind, the service manager will have absolutely zero answers for you. All you need from him is expedited communication from finance.
