Does anyone else have this weird fan motor noise when they change the direction of the fans? It sounds like the motors are moving but I didn’t notice it the first week of driving.

Sounds like something is starting to come loose. Time to schedule that service appointment. :)

Mine doesn’t do that.

I’ve never owned a Tesla. I’m in Utah. It says the next available time on the mobile app is 1 month from today. Is that normal in other locations? Also I did just have the windshield tinted and I’m thinking it’s possible they had to lay or lean on dash to apply the film. It’s possible they maybe pushed the dash down and now it’s rubbing with the motors?

The alerts shown in Service Mode call out a faulty Airwave module, and I cannot adjust the drivers-side airflow horizontally.

It doesn’t offend me, and replacement requires removing the entire IP, so for now I’ve filed it under “things to do before my warranty expires in 2027” lol

I concur with previous posters this most definitely does not sound right.

My truck recently started making this noise and brought it to the Tesla and they said they “repaired” it but the problem is still there. Did you get this problem fixed??

CT is my first Tesla so I have no comparison but those that don't have this problem... do your fans just change direction silently?

Update after today’s service apt. I took it in to dampen the steering column molding that was rattling, that was fixed completely. The humming from the air vents when changing air flow direction, was said to be normal operation.
