So I will be purchasing the CyberTent as soon as I receive the elusive voucher. :) Question, so it states the SC has to install the CyberTent once you purchase it.

For those who have the CyberTent, what exactly do they modify on your truck in order to use the tent?

Just curious and wondering what is so complex about it.

They replace the screws that hold the vault aero trim piece on the top of the vault and add quick release tabs. Otherwise it's a simple install and just a matter of adding the support pieces on the L-Track.

Maybe Tesla is being nice and just including installation for those who want it?

The BIG question is... Is it worth it? Or are there cheaper options that are as good or better? Gotta say, I do like both the look and design (all those pockets in the right places!).

I love it and think it is absolutely worth it, especially in my case where most of the price was covered using my FS voucher. It's on par price wise with other similar products like Rivian's yakima tent and other similar products custom designed to work with a specific vehicle.

I don't believe any other products exist yet designed for the CT. I have seen now a couple others try to DIY it and those methods are just not for me. I plan on having this vehicle for 10 years at a minimum, and fully expect to be using this tent for every camping trip going forward.

It was worth $500 after the voucher, but not $3k.

I personally may have paid 3k.. unsure. I definitely would have paid 2k.
I think it's a bit of a half baked design, especially how the screws hold it in on the rail and removing the aero cover, but overall I like it.

I believe that it is totally dictated by your use case.

If you want to sleep in the air and don't mind stowing your tent when you want to go anywhere, then it's definitely a candidate.

So many tents are bigger, lighter, and easier to erect today.

Here's a blow-up tent that you AND the Cybertruck can stay in for under $700!!!
