It’s not like you can pull into AutoZone and have them change it.
No sense in leaving the new blade at home. If it’s going to break or need replaced, more than likely it will be on the road.
It’s not like we actually use the rear window to see out of!
Wouldn't want them to. Worked in the industry long enough to see several windshields cracked cause a sales person left the wiper arm up unattended.

Looks like a standard top lock/push button style locking mechanism. In a pinch, could probably get away with using a ~26" blade.

You do need to reapply it about monthly as it naturally wears off. I just follow the bottle directions, the first step is to clean and dry the windshield before application, I think this steps probably pretty important. Then after you apply it and get the fog you do need to buff it kind of like a wax, until it’s clear. Don’t need to use wipers, keeps your windshield extra clean and FSD cameras love it.
Yeah, I did all that, except it rains a lot here so I did need to use my wipers whenever I was in slower traffic or had a tailwind that slowed the incoming air enough that the drops would not blow off by themselves. The wipers would damage the Rain-X coating in one to two weeks, re-applying would fix the problem but eventually it would build up and I would have to strip it and start over. It would become a smeary mess. I tried thinner applications but then it didn't seem to last very long and re-application would eventually result in a smeary mess again.

Eventually, I just decided that it was easier to simply keep my windshield free of any contaminants. I didn't have the time to continually strip and re-apply it and I didn't like when I would need to drive in the rain and it wasn't ready to go.

Just received my Tesla wiper blade via UPS today. It fits perfectly behind the rear headrests. Who else carries an extra wiper? Where do you stow it?

I keep one in my vault, the area at the very forward end of the vault is kind of triangular and wasted space so it and some other misc tools live in that wedge.
