Why did the deer cross the road?

Maybe she thought she was a chicken? I was driving on Long Island NY and a local decided to run across the road. I was driving on FSD and I saw them and covered the brake pedal. FSD, also saw them and reacted, hit the brakes in a fairly calm but abrupt manor and the deer crossed at an unhurried pace. Just another tricky day...

what did it show on the screen? Mine depicts cats as people. haven't noticed how it depicts rabbits, squirrels, coyotes, dogs, deer, etc but now i'm really curious...

Mine stopped for a squirrel, but I didn't get a chance to see the visualization. Latest FSD visualizes deer as deer like looking animals. Previous version has shown them as people, and before that, they looked like tall dogs.
