Just curious people’s responses.

post your use case, your hopes for future use (FSDu, robotaxi fleet, personal use)

speculate on capability of hw4 for robotaxi fleet use, ROI robotaxi, whether subscribers will be allowed in, whether purchasers will get hardware upgrades included

The years waiting since my early reservation I planned on driving the vehicle myself. The road test driving one last November changed that when I got into the first EV I experienced.

Not only paid the $250 deposit at the end of the drive, included the $8000 as well.

This 2026 model delivered Dec. 3rd worked flawlessly until the holiday update which slowed speeds, started making incorrect turns, and I realized GPS was not synced to Navigation. Double scroll wheel reset fixed the GPS issue.

Since Elon stated HW4 will support unsupervised, if it requires an upgrade of hardware, I trust Tesla will supply that upgrade to those of us that purchased the 4 version outright, expecting unsupervised in the future. As subscription prices increase, those of us already purchased will then be far ahead. If not, I’m satisfied with what I’ve got.

Other EV owners have told me to continue using my ICE vehicle as back up since I’m rural, depending on home charging so far 100% of the time. I also maintain my older vehicles being a retired VW-Audi tech.

I’m deciding on a Model Y as the second vehicle and must decide on the FSD purchase now. So even already purchased, the question lingers for my second vehicle. Or just drive it, spoiled with the CT steering compared with anything else anyway.

My vehicles are personal use only.

I have a 1921 Model T, and that steering is closer to the CT ratio and radius than later, more modern vehicles.

Purchased it back when they were giving 0% financing which made it dirt cheap depending on how one invests that money over 5 years.

An $8000 add-on on an $80-$120k truck (or S or X) probably had a higher take rate for a few reasons, one being the relative cost (10% or less). For 3 and Y in some cases it would've been 20%. If I'd have purchased a 3 or Y I would've hesitated for the reason. The subscription on the other hand would be an easier pill to swallow.

I subscribe to FSD on 3 of my Teslas and the other 2 came with lifetime FSDs. My current FSD usage is over 96%. Yeah FSD is super convenient and keeps me safe especially on road trips(y)

Mine came with lifetime FSD, which is great. I will probably buy it for my Model Y before the 14th. my thoughts are the monthly may go up especially if it becomes autonomous. I'm thinking heavily about buying the last model X just for the free super charging and included FSD but it's a little pricy. i do like the 6-seat configuration but not sure about price more than my Cyber truck
