Has anyone seen any updates on the specs of the wireless charging connection that's on the CT?
Is it 240vac?
Will it work while in drive?
Can you set the power draw like the wired charger?
I am curious because if so, it may be moddable to connect a generator to those terminals. Towing may be more feasible if you drop a 20k generator in the bed. I would love to toss a 12k back there for long distance overlanding/camping.

  1. It seems to be a direct connection to the battery.
  2. That's nonsensical; it's a port for an additional charger to be added, not an inlet into the current charger.
  3. That would be up to how the software works? I don't think Munro has reported on testing this.
  4. We don't have that information.
  5. Plausible, but the contactors are controlled by Tesla software.
Say you're consuming 400Wh per mile at 60 miles per hour; that's a rate of 24kW, which is a pretty hefty generator. If you could put 12kW into the battery while you're taking out 24kW... Well, that's still a pretty big generator, but it could double your time until you need to stop and charge (and refill your generator tank).

The numbers, however, aren't really favorable to a generator.
