So I got a quote for $3k for a full 3M/ Avery wrap, conditional on the company using it for promotional purposes (for like a day).

Can anyone opine on if this is a good deal?

It seems like otherwise around $5k seems to be the going rate locally.

Depends what they plan to do with it (which they should explicitly detail in writing for you before agreeing to anything). Take a look at videos from car-wrappers using customers' cars and YouTubers using borrowed cars (0-60 launches, testing various cleaners/chemicals, crushing carrots in the doors, dismantling things, etc.). Hopefully they don't plan to do those things to your CT, but "promotional purposes" these days often means doing the craziest stunts for popularity.

I am using Gimp. This is close to the color, it looks a little different because of the sheen. The sample you gave is very matte.
