I just pulled out my family’s old sheep camp trailer from a long time in hibernation. It has been in the family since new in the forties. Spent a lot of time on the ranch in that baby. Love it. It is actually fairly solid but for the windows and door. It will be a long restoration project, but for a while I will leave it looking mostly rustic—because it’s just too perfect with the CT. The range hit is going to be interesting.

Interesting story. Good luck with the restoration.

I would be interested to look at the tow hitch that you used.
There were no ball at the time, I believe.

Will do. It lately occurred to me that very few people out there probably know that a sheep camp wagon or trailer exists. Let alone what it is. In the mountain west, they are getting to be rare, but have a rich history and tradition.

Great to see these camp trailers. My Grandparents had one of these as a cook shack for their Five-wire Hay Press crew in Northern California and served mobile kitchen for breakfasts and lunches for a crew of five to seven. Their business was contract baling and thus the crews moved from ranch to ranch. Their trailer was road worthy and somewhat larger than your trailer. Thanks,D
