Hi Folks,

I wanted to post this as it was my first time experiencing what it's like to tow with the Cybertruck. I have never towed in my life, but I managed to get the hang of it within 20-30 minutes - especially when it came to reversing. It was an exhilarating experience and definitely converted true a Dodge RAM enthusiast to give the Cybertruck a real consideration as his next truck. Though, I hope in the future I'll be towing a boat or perhaps a box trailer when I decide to move again.

Enjoy! ☺

500+ mile tow. Half was just the empty trailer going to get the car. Then coming back close to 7500 lbs on the way back. Average 700 watts. Going about 60-65 mph.
I got so many looks and even a few thumbs up from other Tesla drivers.

Good to see owners using the CT like a truck.
?
As people figure out how well the Cybertruck actually functions in terms of hauling heavy loads and towing heavy trailers locally, we will see more and more of this. The reason so few people are actually using the Cybertruck as a truck is simple:

The 2019 Cybertruck reveal which opened the reservation process was largely watched by Tesla fans who were primarily urban tech people and environmentalists were not already truck owners. Now that you can buy a Cybertruck without a multi-month wait for delivery, more people who need a truck on a regular basis will buy one.

That said, pickups in America are primarily used as cars anyway (most of the time). I don't see Cybertruck changing that underlying dynamic.

Yes but that was at speeds of 60-65 mph. When I got up to

65-70 I was pushing 800-900 watts

I was debating getting a travel trailer that would be relatively close in weight, but holy shit - 65-70 miles. I guess that's a no go. Fuxor! I was expecting maybe still getting 1/3-1/2 with towing that type of weight.

It's not the weight, it's the aero.

Or rather, trailers have a lack of it. At least that one didn't have the big parachute ramp and only cost the same power as driving both vehicles down the road.

I could be wrong but I believe he meant 65-70mph he was using 800-900watts. I am very new to this so I could be wrong .

Yes at 65-70 mph I was getting 800-900 watts/mile.
I think it was about 110-120 miles using about 70ish% battery.

Not as bad. If I could get 100-150 in general based on terrain (short of a mountain), I'd be OK with that until the battery extender comes out.
