The Tesla Mexico factory is supposed to be built on west edge of the town of Santa Catarina which is on west-side of metro area of Monterrey, Nuevo León. Monterrey is capital of the state of Nuevo León.

The vehicle was boasted on social networks by the head of the state executive himself, because, according to García, this is the first vehicle of its kind in all of Mexico and Latin America , “the first Cybertruck arrived in Mexico, and we have it in Monterrey,” the governor wrote on his different platforms.
In the photographs, the vehicle is seen in front of the state government's administrative tower, while in the other two images the governor is seen in the vehicle.
Samuel García was questioned by the reporters present about the origin of the vehicle and he limited himself to indicating that it was not his, but rather that of a “buddy.”
