Let's hope it's only a handful being offered to 'organisations' ....l like not-for-profit, but the queue is in 'rubber band' mode. Just sayin'.......
Offered?

It was offered to all of us. Some people were just at the front of the line already.

Example: https://www.ccfraffle.com/ offered a Cybertruck this year.

You're right.... PETERSEN and TESLA have a history so they've done some 'deal' before during or after order page went LIVE! Not too sure of any of how this came about. I'll just get back in line.

really what this auction will show is what the high end of the secondary market for the production CT will look like.

oh you bought the performance for $110k, but cant afford the payments? Just sell it for $150k on ebay.

Helping a good cause maybe? Maybe supporting Peterson because they appreciate their mission and it certainly didn't hurt all the pub and press that came from them showcasing electric vehicles and showcasing a lot of cool Tesla vehicles the public maybe never saw before or even considered as an option before the visit.

I think it is cool they are doing it and it will drive a lot of awareness.

So the first one to sell will be for a massive markup? Seems like a bad precedent, especially if pricing hasn't been locked down yet. No big suprise though, rich people ruining it for the rest of us, business as usual.

I doubt any auction, and especially one for charity, has anything to say about the price of something.

This will fetch well over $1m if its the first Cybertruck, perhaps even more. Elon Musk could easily raise the bid up to $1 Billion if he wanted to lol

But the first 1000 off the line is probably already spoken for just internally with employees and VIPs. Let's see how many on that waitlist are willing to buy the more expensive models in the first year.

They usually they switch year number around November. Got my 2022 M3 in November of 2021.
Where do you see "2022" as your model year? My app shows specs with specific features (Autopilot, color, interior, wheel size, seat count, Supercharger access) but model year not mentioned. My original window sticker describes the vehicle and shows "Date of Manufacture" with mm/yyyy, but no where is a "model year" mentioned.

I guess more for lending, registration and insurance purposes. Really Tesla does not push the model year like the traditional dealer/manufacturers. Tesla's should always be upgrading via over the air to stay with any other 3 or Y in its generation. or platform.

people bid on the price, therefore setting the value.
Is that what was meant by price because, if so, then my comment is incorrect. I was talking about the ‘MSRP’ of the Cybertruck, which I claim is disconnected from what this Cybertruck will pull at auction. At the end of the day I couldn’t care less how much that Cybertruck sells for. For the Petersen I hope it goes for a LOT, but that price will have no impact on the MSRP or the resale value of Cybertrucks.

Or maybe the $79,999 TRI (?)*
*Only a guess on price.
