This video from X shows the truck burning, but you can hear fireworks exploding and whistling. My guess is someone had fireworks stored in the truck cabin and they caught fire...

I noticed that and thought the very same thing.

Made a post on it as well, asked the admins to delete mine.

This doesn't happen... Either IF an accident then what did they have in the cabin. OR who 'blew' up a cybertruck to send a message?!?

I don't believe this actually a cybertruck flaw at all....

I sure hope this was not the trucks fault. Can someone explain how fireworks spontaneously ignite? I've used fireworks for 30 years, stored them, transported them, And they've never just "gone off"
Usually summer heat and an ignition device like open flame, vape devices, etc. Very rarely, badly made ones go off when dropped.

Some reporting is saying this was intentional.

Yeah store vapes with Fireworks. Yep great idea.

Just thinking of the hotel name, and somehow wondering a possible connection. Strange it happens right in front of the door. They say timing is everything. Also recent news events in New Orleans is troubling.

Right, so likely not fireworks. The whistling, could that be battery puncture? I know we want this to be sabotage, and the optics sure point there, but let's not put our blinders on if there could be a serious risk in our garages.

lol you guys realize this was intentional right?

Intentional is a possibility, but you don't know unless you did it. We should find out soon enough. The vehicle is parked where there should be ample camera angles. Who parked it? To whom is it registered? I love my CT and also don't want it to kill me.

The entire burning section is the cab. There is no smoke from the bottom or the lower seams where the batteries are. The batteries are not burning....
I guess if you drilled or shot holes in the floor of the cab that would be the path of least resistance for battery smoke *facepalm*...

Good observation. What's your take on the 48v battery? And what's with all the personal condescendence ppl, I'm just trying to be prudent.

No you are fanning the flames, and maybe pouring FUD of gasoline on fire. Maybe because the guy driving in New Orleans was driving a Ford EV Lightning those owners should be prudent too.
