Right, so likely not fireworks. The whistling, could that be battery puncture? I know we want this to be sabotage, and the optics sure point there, but let's not put our blinders on if there could be a serious risk in our garages.
It’s not a serious risk…people see Facebook posts and start freaking out…I’ve been to numerous garage fires from ICE vehicles that started on fire, never been to an EV fire….it’s incredibly safer, just social media makes you more concerned than you should be. Also decent fire departments have stuff to put out EV fires, non-decent departments your garage is going to go up either way.

If I was the federal prosecutor in the area. I would consider terrorism charges to deter such activity in the future.
That's just... no, that's political. Don't go there. It's not terrorism if no one was threatened or hurt. It is arson, which is plenty bad enough.

You're not going to be discriminated against, fired, or killed for 'looking like a Trumper'; and you can easily pass as a non-Trumper by just not being a jerk (since being a Trumper doesn't require being a jerk), so no, it's not terrorism.

Imagine the person that handed over the keys to the Lightning. Will haunt them forever. Nothing they could imagine. Even if they did, and canceled rental they would be sued for discrimination. If they had a bad feeling about something they likely ended up in a rolled up carpet.
Yeah, but they had no idea.

It's not discriminatory to stop rental for many reasons. 'Holding a flag associated with suicide bombings' would be one of them.

Let's not get into politics, guys.

That someone is willing to spend alot of their money to give to Elon to set it on fire in front of him?

?‍♀

It's just dumb. Maybe funny, but in a sad way.

Seems like it.. This is still a statement that I particulary dont like.. Whoever it may be needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law..

You can’t be serious, right? A “serious risk” in the garage? So you think there’s less risk parking a tin can filled with 25 gallons of fuel in your garage?

Ok if they did it in front if the MGM it is still terrorism. You put fireworks inside a car and have it parked under a hotel valet that is terrorism. It is a 1282 room hotel. I don't care who you are. That is Terrisom. To suggest it is political in the discussion to charge or not is disgusting. To suggest that it isn't terrorism makes me think you are a sympathizer to some cause or must not understand terror.
Want to stay in a hotel in Vegas tonight? Want to walk along bourbon street? Did someone threaten the people in NOLA? What crack are you smoking in the Cruz today?

Likely a rental. I doubt someone would want to connect the ownership documents when a turo account and a fake ID would work.

This was a terrorist attack. Looks like a suicide bomber. Driver was killed in the explosion

It was either a suicide bomber or a terrorist planted the bomb in this person‘s truck

This video from X shows the truck burning, but you can hear fireworks exploding and whistling. My guess is someone had fireworks stored in the truck cabin and they caught fire...

I guess these guys forgot that the fireworks are supposed to be lit ‘outside’ the car.

Yeah store vapes with Fireworks. Yep great idea.

Just thinking of the hotel name, and somehow wondering a possible connection. Strange it happens right in front of the door. They say timing is everything. Also recent news events in New Orleans is troubling.
I would think that there would be tons of video recording of the front of that hotel. Should be a clear answer one way or the other.

...that your made-up situation didn't happen, is also not terrorism. Trying to set fire to a hotel, is. I hope you can tell the difference between 'situation you imagined' and 'what has been so far been reported'.

New video:
Fireworks, bomb, same same. This is a car bomb in the city and should not be minimized by the fact that it's fireworks on new years day. Whoever did this should be considered a terrorist and treated a such regardless of what their intentions might have been.

Car + Bomb = Terrorism.

What? That's new info. I think that raises it to possible accident.
