Price point is increased but when you look at 1/2 ton pricing for the first level leather interior trimed trucks...its not much more...

f150 lariet gas is 65k w
lightning lariet is 78k
Ram Larime is 60k
Silverardo 1500 LTZ is 60K

so asking 72.5k for cyber truck really isnt that much over those trucks. If you wanted to compare the with air ride and other luxrury options those half tons are the at least as much as CT or more and you still have to pay for gas or diesel.

Yes its more than orignally but based on current market its right in the middle of the pack

If this is true, I'm not overly excited about the range extender anymore.
I don't know, I think having a fully customizable vehicle sounds pretty rad. The range extender might be something that can be rented/shared owners when needed. Less weight when you don't need the range. Maybe it doubles as a baby powerwall in other uses?

This right here. I'm not all that disappointed by the range because I knew to temper my expectations. We ALL knew we weren't getting 500 miles of range. This shouldn't be all that shocking. Truck looks great to me, and I'll be thrilled with the AWD version!

And those are flying off the shelf...
That's not the point, the point is the lightning ISN'T cheaper than the CT when compared apples to apples like the post said. And honestly the reason those aren't selling is because Ford rushed it to production which is a whole other can of worms.

No, the point is that this pricing for this range, isn't going to disrupt the ICE truck market.

It's harsh reality but a of things actually cost twice what they did 4 years ago, like hamburger and steak, so whichever cut of Cybertruck you were hoping to buy, it's no worse. Like at the grocery store, you can go downscale or wait for sale prices, which with Tesla, you know will be coming eventually, they left themselves plenty of room for them.

Terrible. No respect for their original pricing, or interest in getting regular people interested in the truck. There is no way Tesla became 30k less efficient over the last 4 years - this is straight up price gauging since they know they can get it from their most loyal/rich customers. Very disappointing - hoped Tesla cared about their customers and the mission more than this.
I’m pretty bummed about the price also but Tesla isn’t a non-profit. They have billions invested in the development and production of this truck. If they honored the original price they’d be like Ford and selling them at a loss forever. Elon has already said it’d take them 18 months to even start making a profit. Profit is the point. Not customer loyalty.

Well Fudge ....(Fudge is not the word I used but I am trying to be respectful on here)... Waited all these years just to find out I got priced out of it.... This sucks..
I think I need to let this all settle in before I make my next decision... (Yes, there is a plan B... and C)

Sure, for some it could be useful to have a modular extra battery pack put into and removed from the bed.

Speaking for myself, it’s a no go for me. Edit to add, Elon says it takes up 1/3 of the bed.

I've purchased 3 used and one new full-sized truck in my life. I know plenty about purchasing "larger vehicles". Arrogant pricks and parking-lot princess punks like yourself have turned the entire pickup market upside down for the last 10 years, and the pricing of this vehicle has added to the insanity.

Oh, and by all means, feel free to neck yourself you elitist scum sucking parasite.
you want to fight bro?
