Having seen the CT now it looks like a lightly sanded finish. It seemed to have a directional grain to it and I tried to tell if they panel matched the grain direction but it was hard to get close enough to it. the grain is obviously nowhere near the delorean depth of grain. But, having some grain will help with touching up the inevitable scratches and divots. I bet it will come with a care kit.

i agree. I think so many of these fancy tailgates out there today are just dumb. My bed gets beat up and i dont want to have issues with plastic parts breaking.

When I want to restore the shine and remove blemishes, I buff the surface with a Scotchbrite pad following the grain.

It takes about 1 beer per panel

i think i might just go with the classic stainless toilet partition swirl pattern on my CT. Easy to touch up.

So i understand the process right:

Step 1) Rub stainless with scotchbrite pad
Step 2) Pour beer on stainless panels
Step 3) Lick beer off panels for optimum shine and to confuse the neighbors

No, no, no, no...

1.) Sit down and examine the issue.
2.) Drink a beer.
3.) Repeat step 2 until you no longer care about step 1.
4.) Drink one more to make sure.
