i *think* what he’s getting at is the still very plausible scenario that Tesla treats sales of the Foundation units differently than sales of normal retail units.

In that scenario, the provision popped up on the website weeks ago in preparation for sale of Foundation units, which it was drafted for specifically.


we will not know whether this no-resale clause applies to normal retail purchases until the first of those begin coming out - which seems is still months away

Put my preorder in the night of the unveiling for a tri motor no self driving.

I have one little weird note that nobody has mentioned and I still think is probably bs so take it for a grain of salt. But I visited the Santana Row Tesla shop in Northern California to see the truck and the kid there was trying to convince people with Cybertruck preorders to sign up for any vehicle test drive and saying that if you did it would put you further up in queue. Tesla already had my contact info and I always appreciate a little harmless hustle so I signed up with him thinking maybe Tesla will give him a little bonus or something if he collected enough test drives. Again I think it’s just coincidence but had to mention it in case it happened to anyone else. If so I need to go give that kid a drive haha.

Do we know how many foundation series are being made?

Man I really just want the normal dual motor long range that would qualify for the tax credit haha. An extra $20k and no tax credit is rough

Yup, just wanting to hear from the poster as to the reasoning for the statement. There's another thread showing the no resale clause is alive and well for FS orders.

So in the screenshots of the invitation, there was an option to click on a square to configure your Cybertruck. Im wondering if you have to click on that link in order to get to the configuration or if you go straight into your account, it would already be in "configuration" mode even if you didnt click on the link in the email.

I got the email about an hour ago and it took me a while to decide, but I Ordered Dual Motor! (because its the only variant that has both front and rear locking differentials)

I tried to do a price analysis of the Foundation upgrades as attached to help justify my purchase lol.

I'm a little sad that the Included Off-Road Light Bar is only for the CyberBeast foundation not the Dual Motor Foundation.

Im RN112750xxx, in CA and have purchase a 3, Y and S. With some of these invites going out to RN #s after mine, I decided to do a deep dive into my Tesla account. Under my profile, there is no address! SO I added it but do you all think this might have prevented me from getting an invite? I would think no since the 3 Tesla models I purchased were purchase using the same CA address I have now but now Im paranoid! Hopefully they were not using the address on my profile but the address as a previous owner.

Chris. How does the 3 day pass work? Can this be done with Teslas as well?

I would assume so. It’s just to get the car from state to state in a certain amount of days. I think it’s a common practice.
