The biggest thing I saw, which nobody is mentioning is the range loss based on the tires. It shows a little over 6% loss in range with the standard tires. The "All Season" tires offer 340 miles. So my question is, what tires are on the truck we saw at the launch event? Based on the tread pattern they looked more road bias (All Season) and not "Off-Road/Mud".

So if you buy the truck and want the tires that offer more range, you have to purchase another set of tires? This appears to be a big miss. If you advertise 340 mile range, the truck should come with the tires to support that distance. If you want "optional off-road/mud", which offer less range...you can buy them. It should not be the other way around...which is what is above. They are saying pay more to get more range.

Just noticed that in the Tesla (iOS) app, I now have an extra vehicle showing up! If I swipe left from our first model 3, I get a CT configure/order screen.

So tempting, it’s kinda like those free samples at Costco….?

I am not seeing it in mine. I suspect that @cvalue13 is correct that it was just missed.

Same as people that live in snowy climates buying snow tires and swapping them in when the snow sticks to the ground. I lived in the snowy world the first part of my life and no one in my family ever bought snow tires because we knew how to drive in the snow :) It is at least possible that one could do some reasonable off road travel with all-season tires.

People are starting to get confused. Is this for new reservations or those invited to convert their reservation into a purchase order?

Dude my wife BARELY wants me to have a cybertruck let alone pay 20 extra to be first.
This is a trying time in our marriage ?
Same. She said 4.1 seconds is fast enough...

However, the light at the end of the tunnel is that I got to see one in person and she was with me. Later, she said, totally out of the blue, "Okay, that was pretty neat."

I'm taking that as a win. She went from "I don't want a Tesla" to "I won't ever buy another gas car" and we traded her 2020 for a 2023 a bit ago because it was such a good deal.

So, I have hope. I don't think I could convince her I need the Founders Series but most of that is because we are literally in the middle of a move (driving out Monday) and selling/buying a house.

Isn’t this old news? It’s just a foundation order that was enabled last Friday for select few. Or is this now available for more reservation holders without getting email invite?

Precisely my point. Headlines here are starting to get confusing for some.

I had the Dec 8th invite, but been on the phone discussing topics with Teslas reps, and learned that if you are not “active” in perusing completing the order, they eventually move on to offer it to someone else. It’s possible that this invite isn’t necessarily a new wave but a customer didn’t take action from dec 8th and this offer is now moving on? (Speculation)

conversely I wonder what the range would be with some carbon fiber wheels and low profile Cup 2 tires... I also bet the 0-60 would be much closer to 2.0 seconds...

I've never owned any tesla product. I was directed to download the app for the next steps after I placed my order last Friday. Still no VIN.
Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck ordering (not reservations) available in Tesla app now 📲 Screenshot_20231215_143502_Photos
