I was very confused (and not pleased) about this given that his number, if it is actually RN115999XXX) is over 3 million above the lowest. I am hoping it is just a set of mistakes.
I think there is a random nature to it, I saw someone on X who was invited to order after placing a reservation right after the delivery event this year. But its also possible that this person works at Giga NV given the location listed.
I would accept that if all of the invitations so far have been to employees, friends, and influencers (as much as I hate it I acknowledge it). But recent Q/A here tell me that non-employee invitations and even delivery dates are happening, so I do not know why an employee RN out millions from the beginning would be given precedence (any more). That said, my chances of an FS invite are very small indeed if Tesla goes in strict order, so I am not sure where I really stand on their algorithm.

I can tell you for certain that its not going in strict order. I've said here in other posts that I have four reservations placed on reveal day back in 2019. My FS invitation came for the third ranked in numerical sequence. All are approximately 10,000 apart. Your mileage may vary.
I understand that. I was just saying that maybe I should be hopeful that they are going out of order as I am sitting around 250K back from the beginning of the line (reserved on 11/26/2019). If they 'were' going in strict order, and even if only a small percentage accept the invitation, and even when they get to non-FS vehicle ordering, it would take a year to get to me. At the current prices and rate of acceptance, there is at least a possibility they might get to me in much less time. For that, and as much as it might be unfortunate for many (but they will get another chance), I am grateful. As I said, I am ambivalent; if Tesla went in strict order at least I would know that my number won't be skipped. Having a better idea what the algorithm is would at least be cathartic.
