Much to the chagrin of many a great Paint Protection Film (PPF) installer here, I believe the Stainless Steel CyberTruck is a great safe test bed for DIY PPF installers. No paint to damage and a forgiving stainless surface to practice on. Large, mostly flat panels make this an optimal PPF test rig.

The gloss black looks like Moff Gideon's clone suit from The Mandalorian. I kind of dig it. I'm looking for the dark or midnight color that the iphone 14 is in. It's a weird kind of blue.

At this time all I can do is stare, drool and contemplate as I won't be getting mine for a few years when my reservation is up.

I am not sure the CT is a good platform for glossy films. Because its all flat panels, even the smallest imperfection is highlighted in the reflections. A satin or matte comes out better I feel. It almost makes the surface look like plastic because its imperfect.

I like the gloss better than matte....looks better than I would have expected. I'm looking forward to seeing gloss white too.

Well, in most US states (if not all), forward facing red lights are restricted to authorized emergency vehicles. So, it would be quite illegal.
