I would hope that in 1-2 years that the battery cells and/or density will be improved and incorporated into the latest Cybertrucks. Additionally, all these little bugs and nuisances that people are reporting with the FS could be fixed within 1-2 years.Even if you did this, you'll be delaying getting your Cybertruck for at least 1-2 years.
Not sure what this is accomplishing other than wanting to save $20K, and if that's the case, if $20K is a big deciding factor of an almost $100K truck then it's probably not a purchase that you should even be responsibly considering. That's just my opinion.
And 2 years after that, there will be a better version.... And 2 years after that, it will be even better...I would hope that in 1-2 years that the battery cells and/or density will be improved and incorporated into the latest Cybertrucks. I definitely see a new and improved Cybertruck within 2 years.
To each their own, I guess. And 2 years after that, there will be a better version.... And 2 years after that, it will be even better...
At what point do you pull the trigger and get what you want, today? Tomorrow is never promised.
In two years I'll have thousands of miles of enjoyment on my CT and guys like you will still be waiting around to finally pull the trigger. When I'm ready to sell mine, when there's a million on the road, you'll buy yours when it's not special anymore since so many will be on the road and it will be old news.
Look at Tesla's track history. How many changes have they done to the Model 3 battery and how much range was increased? Same for the Model Y.I would hope that in 1-2 years that the battery cells and/or density will be improved and incorporated into the latest Cybertrucks. Exactly, battery technology just is not improving much - and I can't see that changing any time soon with the Cybertruck, especially when there is the cash grabbing "range extender" option as well.Look at Tesla's track history. How many changes have they done to the Model 3 battery and how much range was increased? Same for the Model Y.
About the only thing that was done is a switch to a cheaper batter for the lower range cars. And for the Model 3, I believe that there has been about a 30-mile range increase, mostly due to software.
There are hundreds of new battery technologies annouced every year. Only about 1% of those make it anywhere. And probably only 1% of those ever make it into production.
The big increase in batteries has been in production ability and reducing the cost of the battery.
In this case, it plainly says, "Included."All Tesla vehicles are "FSD Capible" but that doesn't mean FSD is included unless you pay for it. We paid and have it on our Model 3 but decided not to pay the $15k extra when we bought our Model Y but the Model Y is "FSD Capible" sort of. The vision-only tech still doesn't allow many of the FSD features on the '23 Model Y or even the enhanced autopilot features. Buyer beware because people may not get what they think they will at the time of purchase.
Same experience with two separate reps in KC and San Francisco.Tesla rep I communicated with said that ordering a FS commits you to a FS, cancel and the $1000 forfeits. I ordered, at my age the future is now.
How did you manage to chat with them? That looks like it’s from the app, right?I was told few weeks ago that I can change my order from FS to non-FS without cancelling the reservation. I reached out to them again today through the App messaging service.
Now I'm getting a different information. They told me I cannot do it. Once the VIN is assigned, I can max get 3 months extension to push it out. Looks like you get different answers depending on who you talk to.

I largely agree. Some people want the newest iPhone every year too, while others like me want a new one maybe every couple of years. yet others don’t care to replace their decade-old MacBook. I have my own reservations about the now-unveiled production FS cybertruck, but I’m not getting any younger, and we all put a different value on how awesome it would be to start driving one in the very near future. And 2 years after that, there will be a better version.... ...which includes F S D .You can not order FSD now. You can not order AWD now. You can only order the Foundation package now.
The remainder TBD.
