My 12v cigarette lighter pump has gotten me out of a lot of jams.
Great investment for $40 AUD.
I don't mind the slowness.

Anyone tried the Milwaukee 18V tire pump? It's pricy (with a suitable battery and charger) but compact and cordless.

Looking at the Craftsman pancake compressor If you take the tank off it might fit in separate places?

Looks like the same set up my Ram has. It’s a nitrogen system tho so adding a Tee won’t work. Hopefully Tesla has worked out the kinks from the air bags themselves because you can have some trouble with dirt around the main shaft of the air spring causing slow leaks. Refilling with nitrogen can be a pain but pretty straightforward. The reservoir holds around 170# of pressure then the pump helps distribute .

Must be 20 of those Voss fittings. Service manual says to perform push/pull test.

Well someone in Austin didn't pull. On first drive got a loud hissing. Truck settled to 7.5" with "unable to raise" alert.

At least that's what I suspect service dept will find. They had truck all day. Didn't say a thing. In the que?

Interesting to see a recent change to service manual. For filling system it says 261 psi Nitrogen. Wonder what it was before?

Wish I went in to service mode before taking back to Tesla.

Someone even put a clear glass cover in the bed to show it off!

This thing is a work or art. Someone restoring one of these in 50 years time will appreciate the careful considerations put into this design.....maybe l could even give small repairs a go when it's out of warranty or l'm out in the bush somewhere in Australia far from a service centre!

OK, so, what's the final verdict? Why can't we tap into the on-board tank with a "T" and use the compressed air for emergency tire inflation? I'm really looking into doing this.

Turns out it's a sealed system that uses pure nitrogen not atmospheric air.

Not calling you out or trying to be a troll but, where did you get this info? I'm very curious and there's a sticker on the tank that says, "MEDIUM: AIR".
