You can have a company, trust or spouse registered to as the owner of the car. The payment can be made by wire transfer from any account, including a 3rd party or previously, bitcoin.

But only the owner (whoever owns that email accounted tied to the app) is able to pick up the car.

Doesn’t even matter if you share the same email address nor passwords like you do on Netflix. If that is not your email account with your information…

Today I went to Tesla Irvine, California to pick up the Cybertruck that I had been waiting for for 5 years. I paid it , but when I arrived at Tesla, the salesperson unilaterally canceled my pickup order due to account email issues, and refused to refund the deposit and car payment. It has been confirmed that the account issue is Tesla's mistake, but my CYBERTRUCK cannot be pick up, which is really disappointing.

Who was receiving all the correspondence from Tesla this entire time. Was it going to your neighbor or to your email?

It's not currently being offered, but people are assuming it will happen again. There's no reason to believe it wouldn't. Tesla gets people to burn referral points, and all it does is make people who have no recourse angry (those of us who put down non-refundable deposits on orders)

Actually it is still happening. I just got 10k last week from an friend taking delivery of a Model Y.

This is what I said Tesla's mistake. I placed an order using my account and received a confirmation email in my neighbor's mail. My neighbor’s model3 emails will come to my mail
