I'm not wanting to pay this much money or non refundable money down until I know the cabin is reasonably quiet which is hard to tell when listening to you tube videos. I've heard in some videos what could be caused by big knobby tires. If it is tire noise is there an option to get different tires in the foundation series? The whining of the electric motor upon acceleration is OK (I think) but constant consistent noise in the cabin on a road trip is not.

No matter what vehicle's forum you're on, you will always have some people say "it's loud" and some say "it's quiet". I've seen it on every single forum I've been a part of.

Best way to find out is to try and ride in one before buying it, because all that matters to you is your opinion of the sound level.

Worst case scenario, you can swap out the tires after purchasing and sell your take offs.

Newer ICE Trucks are fairly quiet, luxury quiet to be honest. Any AT tire is going to be loud. You are going to need AS tires to get less noise.

Just turn up the best radio in the industry and enjoy the ride from the best truck in the world!!
Thanks for the tire information. thats what I suspected. I'll have to determine if AT tires in the foundation series can be selected. Probably not. next concern is that one one will need the AC fan speed up so high in the Hot Texas summer.

It’s dead quiet in my opinion. Quietest ride in any Tesla by a long shot. You can hear a penny drop and tell which side it lands on type of quiet
Totally agree. All this talk of road noise is crazy. I think people are not noticing the completely silent backdrop, making a bit of motor whine and a whisper from the road seem loud in contrast. But it's only because there is just zero air or environmental noise getting in.

This thing is sealed up tight.

Drove my wife's Y the other day for the first time getting the truck and i was constantly trying to roll up the windows thinking they weren't quite closed...
