I'm curious how many here ordered in December 2023 and still don't have a VIN number? When did you order?

I ordered on 12/28.

What state do you live in?

I live in Alabama. No Tesla stores here. PickUp is Brandon, Mississippi.

How many days since order with no VIN number?

I am now at 81 days with only 12 days left in the month of March for delivery.

I realize deliveries started in WA in the past few weeks. But there’s a huge Tesla presence in western WA and it’s frustrating to see buyers in CA getting VINs after configuring in February. And, frustrating that the only answer I hear when talking with a Tesla rep is, “They don’t tell us anything.”

I’m pretty patient and hoping financing rates drop a bit. I do wish I had the Tesla points but my guess is that Indiana doesn’t have CT certified techs yet (the offer was never presented to me or others in Indiana).

it is a beast and I’m ready to add my taste to it!

Talked to the sale folks in BS, he said literally there is none of technician in Seattle area had the real hands on experience on the CT. They might go through some online training… that was it.

Does Virginia have Tesla stores? I feel like I'm going to be iced out because Alabama does not allow for direct to consumer automobile sales. I know your feeling frustrated as well.

12/8 Cyberbeast Order (8:30 p.m. PST) in SoCal RN#11279XXXX with an estimated delivery timeframe of "Early 2024". I'm still without a VIN and that's perfectly fine with me. The number of software/hardware related bugs makes me think that each day without a VIN is another day they are addressing and correcting issues.

Excellent points. I've seen some of the software issues. However, Out of Spec Dude say's his delivery CyberBeast has been perfect as compared to the first CyberTruck he tested in December. But, your right. Wheel covers that are being redesigned and software glitches that require service are being avoided by a later delivery.

Typically I like being an early adopter, but with significant driving around town and other states for club basketball and volleyball competitions, I'm fine sitting this one out ......... for the next 30 days I can only imagine breaking down driving through the desert with my wife and two kids. I'm pretty sure at least 20 horror movies have started this way!

These types of posts make me feel significantly better about being patient.
