It is auto pilot in their manual and not even bothering with fine print that it's just cruise control.

I guess it's the same when we pick up our Cybertruck: •Just figure it out yoursel!" lol
100% I guess it's possible that the definition of autopilot is adaptive cruise and then auto steer is a separate thing. In that case you're not wrong. But the widely accepted definition of autopilot includes auto steer.

Tesla should have written a fine print footnote about that rather simply letting me find out when I'm about to jump on the ravine in a sharp curve on the freeway, lol.

So adaptive cruise control def isn't autopilot.

That being said. Even if you had autopilot or fsd you still get phantom braking. Because the truck is mega cautious.

This has trained seasoned Tesla owners to hover over the accelerator instead of the brake when on cruise, AP or fsd.

I'll typically be pressing my accelerator just a tiny bit unless I know the vehicle needs to actually slow down. This helps to prevent the sudden super slowdown.

It's not required but it'll make your life easier.
While that is correct. . . on my MS when FSD isn’t available my cruise control isn’t available either.

It's actually a little wild to me that you could still want the cybertruck at the price that it's at, and the lesser range that was delivered vs the claims, and autopilot isn't a huge factor for getting it. If I didn't care about autopilot it would be insanely hard to justify the cybertruck.

And like, I don't care, I'm not berating you, I just know that I couldn't possibly get there without caring about autopilot.

im just really excited for it and its a hard pill to swallow, and i may end up paying the stupid friggin installer for powershare because i want to at least have 1 benefit from it .. but yea .. it is a hard pill to swallow. also i dont qualify for the 7500 tax rebate due to income so thats not a benefit otherwise i would REALLY have a tough time,.

Doesn't change anything. It is what it is. Gotta either have phantom brakes or slight accelerator press. Up to you

First the hesitation. and indecision due disappointments in price and range.

Second, the buyer's remorse taking that much money from rhr nest egg.

Third, the fictional plan of making money by quickly reselling it.

Fourth, the deliberate amnesia of THE PLAN having too much fun with the Cybertruck.

Fifth, the justification to hell with the nest egg, I have one life to live, I deserve this after 50 years of hard work in the salt mines and rat race.

Call it the 5 stages of healing in owning a Cybertruck.
