No, many people get the power share email shortly after the order. If you don't qualify for it now they force people to get 6/12 mo of supercharging starting the day you take delivery. So the Powershare installation/equipment appears to have no bearing on timing of delivery.
What if we don't qualify for the Powershare setup but would prefer the hardware that comes with the FS than the supercharging? You say that Tesla 'forces' us to get the supercharging but if we don't use Superchargers very much then that isn't a very good deal. I like choices.
You don’t get supercharger credits for not getting the Powershare. You get Tesla shop credits or referral points. At least that’s what I was offered, but i’m going to pay for the install.
I suspect Tesla will disqualify me from the program. I have solar cells and a generator. I am told that Tesla does not like generators, but I would want both a power wall and the generator as a backup to the backup. We will see; right now it is a moot point.
