I'm waiting to install Powershare, already approved by SCE, is it gonna be the same time or longer to charge my CT?

Anyone from Orange County SoCal to Vegas, around 270 miles from my house, in one charge?

Why would you charge to 100%?

When you charge at a Supercharger, it heats up you battery to optimal, then charges as fast as it can until the battery temp exceeds parameters and then crashes the charging rate.

It does this intentionally to increase the number of miles per hour you are getting put back into your vehicle.

Consequently, that screws with your ability to get to 100%, as then the battery at some point is too warm to continue charging. The optimum charge curve to get to 100% is different than the optimum curve to get the most miles added to the truck in the first 20 minutes to an hour.

Powershare is charging and discharging at home, which is at about 11kW, which would take about ten, eleven hours of the truck's giant battery. It is unrelated to Supercharging.

Not at all slow, actually expected.

As the battery gets fuller, the charge rate goes down. Once it's at 80%, you are at L2 levels or less. It's going to take as long to get from 80% to 100% as it did 0-80%.

That's pretty much every battery out there, including your phone.

I hope that it's not the only time that you Supercharger, you need to get out and take trips, enjoy the truck.

You should have the Mobile Adapter in the truck, it will plug into a standard 120V wall socket. It's not going to charge fast (~3 mph) but it is better than nothing. If you haven't seen it, Tesla does not recommend daily charging to 100% either, but it is okay when needed.
In SoCal, you should be surrounded by Supercharges. Try charging more like 20% to 70%, it's much more realistic and will take a lot less time.

And there's another big update when they turn on 800V charging.
The Cybertruck is going to get better. Is the Silverado? It is already charging at 800V.

Tesla just tends to be cautious with charging and range numbers, and they do tweak them.

I'm pretty sure that you are showing a comparison of 800V 350 kW charging against 400V 250kW.

When Tesla ships the 800V 500kW Superchargers....

I certainly hope so, it was a core promise of the CT: 800V 350kw charging. It won't ever really catch up to the Silverado because Tesla cheaped out on the battery size so Chevy can add 300 miles and still be in the middle of the charging curve all the way. CT only gets 220 miles or so between 10% - 80%. If it can add 220 miles efficiently it will really help.

I listened to a YouTube short where Elon Musk explains charging of the lithium ion batteries... think of them as a empty parking lot on the day of a big game... the first ones to arrive have a huge choice to park anywhere... as the parking lot gets full, the drivers have to struggle more finding a spot... Exactly like that, there is this exponential curve where it can get to 80% super quick, but slows down drastically as it approaches 100%.

Powershare is a different thing...it has 3 components: a bidirectional charger, which can support 48A max, a gateway and a backup switch that disconnects your house from the grid once the power is out.

The idea of powershare is to use the charge from your cybertruck to power your house when you don't have power from your grid. It utilizes the bidirectional charger to pull the charger to pull power out of your cybertruck. When used for charging, it puts about 27 miles per hour of charge... I tried to get my CT from 25 to 100 and it took well over 7 hrs.

You think that Tesla cheaped out on the battery? Tesla is a leader in this field. They believe that the majority of owners will not need more than 340 mile range and that the extra battery is just extra weight and reduced payload capacity. Whether all of us agree, or not, it was a strategic decision and not about dollars and cents.

I have charged up to 95% on my Model Y on road trips, because I needed that extra buffer of a few miles, but what a friggen waste of time. You just sit there for an extra 45 minutes for basically nothing. So @Crissa is making an argument based on what makes sense. You are right, if you 'really' want to test the range of a vehicle (why?) then you have to fill it up and empty it. Most of us drive our cars (ICE or BEV) down to our own threshold of what 'empty' is. What would be 'very' nice would be if the Tesla LR battery chemistry for the 4680 would allow us to safely charge to 100% on a regular basis, but also allow for faster charging to a higher percentage of the capacity. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way, and we will just have to become accustomed to getting more like 75% (240 miles on ATs) of the rated range on road trips (10%-85%) to maximize range and charge times.
