Here's my experience:

Order placed 1/23 for a 2025 inventory vehicle - AWD, white interior, core wheels; VIN 60xxx

1/24 VIN reassigned 61xxx

1/26 got confirmation that my CT was on delivery vehicle, and that delivery vehicle was in CA

1/27 was asked to make delivery appointment

Picked up today 1/30

FSD 13.2.4 installing as we speak

I think they had a deal at end of 2024 for FSD and FSUC transfer.

because they produce in batches/runs for efficiency. I would expect all of us to get vins in the next 4-7 days as they switch production line to tactile grey

So it’s missing a plastic cover piece??

No the newer production cars supposedly as of mid November don’t have open flap doors to access the 4 roof rack access and roof power access. It is closed off with no flap doors. Wes said on X that if you wanted to use those accessories in the future you would have to purchase the roof appliqué with the accessible doors and swap at a service center.

Possibly just using ones that they had left in stock on non-converted FS builds? Seems to not make a lot of sense either way you look at it since he told us that the cut off was something like mid November. ??‍

Since I have nothing else to do besides to speculate:

Let’s assume you are right (and I want you to be!) and we are assigned VINs on Feb 7th (7 days from now), do you know how long it typically takes for trucks to arrive at the service centers? Days or weeks?

I will be out of town the week of Feb 17 and after all this excitement, I’m preparing to get the delivery schedule notification the day before I leave ?

Thanks! Next few days will be a learning curve as I get used to it. It will be interesting to see how my muscle memory adapts/develops, especially with the 4-wheel steer by wire.

4WS has been a challenge for me for parallel parking. I cannot get close to the curb in one go. I scuffed my wheel cover as a result ?

The truck is so long and wide I need to not park like a jerk ?‍?

depends on where you are taking delivery. Factory is in Austin, it takes about 1 week to arrive at the service center in Northern California, then 2 days for QA.
