First of all I ? FSD - I just checked my app & found out that 54% of my drives are on FSD.
The comment I have is that I have very few disengagements; But when I do, it's almost always when making a left hand turn & the CT is (or seems) to cut too close to the other side of the road. I really get nervous when there is a car in the left turn lane where I'm turning. I wish (hope) that Tesla widens the arc for left turns...

The question I have (because I haven't run into this) is how does FSD handle train crossings, when the gates are coming down? Does FSD recognize this?
Thanks everyone!

I live in a town with a lot of train crossings. It stops for them. I have even had it stop at ones without gates and only lights.

If the red lights are flashing, it will see them and stop. We have an intersection near my house that is not the safest one... It has a freight train route that runs down the middle of a 4 lane road and sometimes I have gotten 'caught' when I started crossing and as soon as I entered the intersection, the gates start coming down... Well, you can't always 'floor it' because sometimes theirs already someone in front of you trying to make a left turn (and they are ON the tracks, but not dangerous as it's a spur line and trains only go about 15-20mph). BUT that means you can end up in the middle of the intersection with no place to go really...

FSD has taken me through that place MANY, MANY times and I have NEVER ended up stuck in the middle...

Where exactly are you checking this at?
1. Open Tesla App
2. Click on Safety Score
3. Click on the "i" with the circle around it (top right corner)
4. Info is in the pop up

Per Grok:

The Tesla Cybertruck Safety Score is available on Android phones, but there have been some delays and issues with its rollout compared to iOS. Here's a summary based on recent information:

App Version Requirement: Initially, the Safety Score feature required version 4.1 of the Tesla app. For Android users, this version was not immediately available on the Google Play Store, leading some to sideload the app from APKMirror or other sources to access the feature.
Current Availability: More recent updates, like version 4.41.0 of the Tesla app, suggest that Android support for features like Safety Score has been improving. However, the exact availability for all Android users might still vary based on app updates and regional rollout strategies by Tesla.
User Experiences: There have been reports from Android users needing to wait for app updates or manually install newer versions to see the Safety Score. This indicates that while the feature is technically available, its implementation and visibility to all users might not be immediate or consistent.
Functionality: Once available, the Safety Score provides insights into driving habits, affecting insurance rates and potentially FSD beta access, similar to how it functions on iOS.

Based on this, if you're an Android user looking to access the Tesla Cybertruck Safety Score, you should:

Check App Version: Ensure your Tesla app is updated to at least version 4.1 or the latest available, which by now should include 4.41.0 or later. If the update isn't available on Google Play, you might need to wait or consider sideloading from a trusted source like APKMirror.
Drive: After updating, take your Cybertruck for a drive to generate data for the Safety Score.
App Features: Look for the "Safety Score" under the "Security" section or similar within the app's main screen.

Remember, access to such features can depend on Tesla's app update schedule and your region, so experiences might differ. If you're not seeing it, checking community forums or Tesla's official communications might offer more specific guidance or confirm if there are any known issues with Android compatibility at the moment.

Grok is incorrect.

Safety score is for Tesla insurance.

Grok is incorrect.

Safety score is for Tesla insurance.
You could be right, but per Grok:

No, the Tesla Safety Score is not exclusive to Tesla owners with Tesla Insurance. Here's how it works:

Tesla Insurance: For Tesla owners in states where Tesla offers its insurance, the Safety Score can directly impact insurance premiums. However, in states like California, the Safety Score is provided for educational purposes only and does not affect insurance premiums.
FSD Beta Program: Tesla uses the Safety Score to determine eligibility for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta program. You can see your Safety Score if you have requested FSD Beta, even if you haven't received it yet.
General Access: There have been announcements and indications that Tesla might allow all owners to view their Safety Score, not just those with Tesla Insurance or FSD. This was discussed by Elon Musk on social media platforms, suggesting that the score might become available for all Tesla owners, regardless of insurance or FSD status.
Third-Party Apps: Additionally, some third-party apps like Tessie can provide analytics including Safety Score metrics without the need for Tesla Insurance or FSD.

Therefore, while having Tesla Insurance or being in the FSD Beta program can be direct ways to access your Safety Score, it's not the only method. Tesla has been moving towards making this feature more widely available to encourage safer driving practices among all its users. Remember, specifics can vary based on software updates and regional policies, so it's always good to check the Tesla app or official Tesla communications for the most current information.

Again, Grok is wrong.

It's really cringey when people quote Grok or ChatGPT, it's like people quoting Reddit. LLM just scour the internet for answers and there's no accurate checks.

FSD Beta program is over. It was used in 2021 to get access to it, but it's been years. Currently the only people who get access to Safety Score are people on Tesla insurance.

Thanks everyone!
where/how are you accessing FSD usage data, i don’t see on the app where my usage is displayed? Are using Tesla Insurance?

This so much. LLM are not fact checkers. Bad input bad output.
