The $78,390 number seems to be the current floor for a new non-FS AWD that doesn't qualify for the tax credit.

Demos can be a bit cheaper. So far the lowest price I've seen (without the tax credit) is $77,500, or est. $1254/mo financing. That's for a demo non-FS AWD in Seattle, with 835 miles on the odometer.

Seems like Tesla could do better.
There was an AWD with 10 miles on it and a “previous repair” that had about $5k off. Pretty sweet deal, but the ding on its permanent record may not have been worth it.

I spoke too soon, here's a 2024 AWD demo with 1,809 miles for $76,450, or est. $1,236/mo financing. So a $3,540 discount. In transit to Las Vegas.

Tesla appears to be adding more 2024s to inventory. Don't think that one was listed yesterday.

They should convert all remaining 2024s into demo and loaner vehicles. I can’t drive Model X/Y as loaner anymore! First world problems!! ?

Dang. With the referral code and 7500 ev credit, price came down to 71500 for me. Was hoping that is what I was paying taxes on at registration. But looking through my paperwork, looks like I'm on the hook for the 80k plus fees etc. Looks like it's my future refund I'm signing over to Tesla, therefore the price is the 80k "officially" and that is what the DMV will see and use when they take all my money.

Yep, the $7,500 works as additional down payment, versus being a dealer rebate that lowers the sales price.

I picked mine up a couple days ago. $7.5k tax credit at point of sale plus $2k referral discount brought my base price down to $70.5k.

On top of that, the referral code came from my wife's account, so we got the $1k referral credit, which I used to buy Cyber Wheel and Winter Tire Package. That brought my effective base price down to $69.5k for a new 2025 Cybertruck!

This is my first-ever post, first truck ever. Four things:

1. Saw the $7500 POS rebate. Just ordered a 2025 AWD with FSD and Power Share. To say my wife went ballistic is an understatement since she tried to talk me out of it, but I ordered it anyway. This is my lifelong dream and NO ONE will take that away. She is afraid I will get harassed.

2. The rejection from 75% of my family and friends is not surprising. I’ll be a CT Ambassador, the calm voice of logic and reason as to why the CT is a revolution of intelligence, efficiency, function, and the art of

Cubism.

3. I do HVAC work and will be hauling literally tons of dirty old cast iron furnaces and demolition materials as well as installing new high-efficiency heat pumps with the new Cybertruck.

4. Financed it by selling TSLA stock when it was at $460. So my Cybertruck was free. LOL

Guess Is that a Cyber Badger?

I preordered the tri-motor and choked on the change in price when it was announced. I kept the pre-order active in the hopes that I would be able to finalize the order later this year. I was longingly clicking around on the order page late last Monday when I suddenly saw the tax credit pop up. It was the push I needed and I decided to cancel my pre-order (which probably wasn't much use anyway) and go with the dual motor. Got my VIN the next morning. It looks like it was manufactured in Austin, and I live North of Seattle, so I'm not sure what type of wait I'm looking at for delivery.

I empathize with everyone who ordered just prior to the incentive being approved and offered. That sucks. I'm also giddy with the fact that I finally get to join the club.

Why did you cancel the pre-order?

@mongo It was for a tri-motor and I couldn't find the option to downgrade to a dual motor. In addition, there didn't seem to be an easy way to apply a referral code to the order. I could have been wrong about it all.

Ah, yeah referral code is a good reason. Was it a super early pre-order? Mine let's me choose AWD or Beast and gives the discounted FSD pricing.

My preorder was from Feb 2020, so not super early. Every dollar helps, so the referral was nice. I sold off my Nissan LEAF, which I don't drive much anymore, and traded in an old 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan that we only use for taking things to the dump. I bought a Model Y for my wife last year, so we've completely made the jump to Tesla now.
