Stopped by the Airport Police for half hour

Went to pick up a friend at the airport, I went inside to help with bags while Son sat in the passenger pickup area.

I come out and call my son to pull up to where we were with my friend - then I notice truck doors are open, my son is in his driver's seat and officers are crawling over the truck. Told my friend to wait and went to the truck thinking what the hell is going on. Not going to lie, was a bit concerned and the heart beat was a little elevated.

Come to find out they had never seen a cyber truck up close.

Spent the next half hour showing them the truck inside/out while people took pictures and looked concerned. The officers were awesome and one even commented that he wasn't a fan before but is now.

I went to pickup a friend at BWI - it was very early and he was a 5 minute walk from the pickup area so I was sitting at the curb - and an officer came over to me and says "Hey man, you know there's no sitting here - so I'm gonna have to ask you to move on... ORRRRRR let me drive this monster!"

Without missing a beat I said "jump in!" and hopped out. He handed me his go bag, and slid in while I jumped into the passenger seat. We went around the airport and I explained the driving experience, etc. and he loved every second!

My friend was walking to the curb as we came back around and to say he was confused that I was pulling up in the passenger side while a Baltimore police officer was driving would be an understatement ?

Had the same experience at the County Sheriff's office, went in to get the VIN verified for the county tax office in order to register the vehicle. One of the deputies asked if he could check it out, I asked if he wanted to drive it. While driving it, he punched the accelerator and started giggling uncontrollably.

This happened to me way back in May of 2024. My 2nd day of driving the truck and dropping my son at LAX. Cops pulled me over just to see the truck. Scared at first but it turned out to be Awesome!!!????

Yeah, I can't say anyone has commented negatively once they get the up close look. I guess Fear of the unknown syndrome?

CTs are a lot like police as far as social media and public opinion go. There’s this weird kind of notion that they suck and people hate them, but the reality is there are far more lovers out there than haters and the loud-mouth people on the internet are forming an opinion based on their non-existent experience.

I went to my towns police department and showed the chief around it and answered any questions. I told him to let me know if anyone on the force wanted to check it out to let me know.

Just remember if they pull you over in any official capacity or arrive in an official capacity that you are refusing any form of search. I had been reported for being in a park "after dark" (listed on the website open 24/7, they even admitted that) and had 2 patrols show up. I let them look through it (nothing to hide and being nice, right). Ended up one was really curious and the other was being a little aggressive and more "searching". Most police, after driving one usually wish they had THAT vehicle on patrol...

Quiet, sneaky and SUPER FAST! One guy I met mentioned "Wouldn't it be awesome if some guy in a hot car tries to take off and you floor it and pull up along side in a heartbeat!!" I told him about the 'Grappler' and showed him a video and he was like "Oh man, we really need to get a couple of these and put those on".

And when I tell them it's basically 'bullet proof' (body and doors, not windows) they are VERY interested...

Personally, I think the Beast would be a PERFECT patrol car... As would the Model Y...

And they would only need ONE CAR CHASE with one that has a Grappler police bumper (https://policebumper.com/) on TV and they would start selling like hotcakes!!

Imagine:
Helicopter shot shows speeding criminal on highway...

He passes a CB with Grappler as it sits on side of the road...

The CB then FLOORS IT and catches up in about 20 seconds... As the commentator says "What is that? Is that one of those Cybertrucks?"

Then, about 30 seconds later, deploys the grappler and it's all over! "Did you see that!! They just used something to reach out and grab the car and yank it to a stop! What the heck is that they are driving, something from out of Robocop?"

Yeah, I could watch that over and over... and over again!
