So I was able to order it yesterday, and to my surprise, it said I was eligible for it to be installed at my home! I was so stoked, so I set the appointment for the first available date. Not even 10 minutes later I get message in the Tesla app telling me that the appointment has been pushed back and that I now have to have it installed at a service center one hour away.
I messaged back in the app that it was a real bummer to have been scheduled for a home install to then get rug pulled on that, have the install delayed, and now have to take time off from work to drive it an hour away for installation.
They replied:
"The Cybertents due to the complexity of putting them together has to come to the service center to install. A mobile technician does not have the capabilities to perform the necessary install. Thank you for your understanding".
